The date is now fixed: From 19 to 21 August, the MotoGP heroes will once again fight for victory at Spielberg.

The MotoGP calendar 2022 is fixed. On Thursday, the Dorna announced the next world tour of the motorbike stars with 21 races. The "Motorcycle Grand Prix of Austria" at the Red Bull Ring will again traditionally take place in August.

The 14th race weekend - right in the middle of the hot phase of the of the World Championship - will take place from 19 to 21 August at the Spielberg.

Premiere for new Red Bull Ring layout

In 2022, two-wheeled fans and riders can look forward to a a premiere at the Red Bull Ring! For the first time a new spectacular layout variant will be used.

In the area of the second bend, the uphill passage in the north-west of the Austrian Grand Prix circuit will become a chicane. The new track layout has the character of a fast double bend. This guarantees even more excitement with extra overtaking manoeuvres, especially in the MotoGP!

Construction starts in November.

The additional layout variant is primarily designed for race bikes and the MotoGP, but can also be used for car racing series. The previous track layout and the names of the curves will not change.

The Red Bull Ring will continue to consist of ten curves and will be available in two versions after the reconstruction. In the Formula 1 will continue to be driven without a chicane. The construction work will start in November, so that Spielberg can start the 2022 motorsport season with the new layout.

Tickets for the perfect MotoGP weekend.

At the Red Bull Ring, fans can enjoy a great weekend between the sessions of the world's best motorbike racers, fans will enjoy an extensive supporting programme.

Entertainment with live acts and stunt shows is guaranteed in the "Spielberg MotoGP Bike City". In addition the Flying Bulls will perform breathtaking air displays high above the racing asphalt.

Tickets are available at www.redbullring.com.
