Seven weeks after the previous event at the Hungaroring, the WTCR returns into action for rounds 9 and 10 at Autodrom Most, in Czech Republic.

This is the first of two back-to-back events, as the FIA World Cup will then head for France, to race at Pau-Arnos on the following weekend.

Action will begin Friday with practice and qualifying, while the two races will take place on Sunday, as the track is reserved for a bike race on Saturday.

The reigning champion Yann Ehrlacher (Cyan Racing, Lynk & Co 03) defends his lead in the standings; the Frenchman has a slim two-point margin over his teammate Santiago Urrutia who scored his first victory of the season in the second race at the Hungaroring.

Jean-Karl Vernay (Team Engstler, Hyundai Elantra N) is the best of the rest, 14 points behind Urrutia, while Comtoyou Racing's teammates Gilles Magnus and Frédéric Vervisch (Audi RS 3 LMS) are placed fourth and fifth with gaps of 19 and 21 points from the leader.

The WTCR has delivered a different winner in each of the eight races held so far, and with four events to go, the battle for the title is wide open. Especially because there is a bunch of drivers who are looking forward to the Czech races to score their fist win of the season and climb towards the top of the standings.

This are the likes of Rob Huff (Zengő Motorsport, CUPRA Leon Competición), the other Lynk & Co men Yvan Muller and Thed Björk, the 2019 champion Norbert Michelisz (BRC Squadra Corse, Hyundai Elantra N) and the Argentine pair of Esteban Guerrieri and Néstor Girolami (Münnich Motorsport, Honda Civic Type R).

Track times at Most

Friday, 8 October - 14:30, Free Practice 2 (30 minutes)
