KREMER Racing Vorschau FIA GT3 Rennen in Rumänien
Bucharest –May 18th –20th, 2007
Auf den Straßen von Bukarest wird am kommenden Wochenende die zweite Runde der FIA GT3 Europäische Meisterschaft eingeläutet. Mit Bukarest steht nach zehn Jahren erstmals wieder ein Straßenkurs im Kalender der FIA GT Meisterschaft.
Das aktionbeladene Rennwochenende beinhaltet neben den Rennen der FIA GT und FIA GT3 das dritte Rennen der Lloyds TSB Insurance British Formula 3 Serie und die Läufe des DACIA Logan Cup. Der von Herman Tilke designte Kurs um das rumänische Parlamentsgebäude, übrigens das zweitgrösste Gebäude der Welt, entpuppte sich in den vergangenen Wochen als der Renner beim einheimischen Publikum und bei den rumänischen Medien.
Fast 70.000 Tickets wurden im Vorverkauf bereits abgesetzt, seit Wochen laufen die Umbauarbeiten in der Innenstadt auf Hochtouren.
Die Leitplanken, die den Kurs umgeben, wurden extra aus Bilbao angeliefert. 116 Trucks sind zur Zeit im Convoy auf dem Weg in die rumänische Hauptstadt, um Fahrzeuge und Equipment an die Rennstrecke zu bringen.
Freddy Kremer reist mit 12 Punkten und dem zweiten Platz in der Ferrari Cup Wertung nach Bukarest. Verstärkung erhält Kremer an diesem Wochenende durch Ronnie Kessel, nachdem noch immer der zweite Fahrersitz im Kessel-Ferrari Nr. 37 vakant ist. Der Sohn von Loris Kessel ist ansonsten in der Ferrari Challenge unterweges und sammelte auch schon in Silverstone mit Co-Pilot Christoph Breuer GT3-Erfahrung.
Wie schon beim letzten Rennen wird die FIA GT3 live aus Bukarest in Premiere übertragen. Laut Programmvorschau wird das erste Rennen am Samstag, 19. Mai 2007 um 13.55 Uhr ausgestrahlt, das zweite Rennen am Sonntag, 20. Mai 2007 um 12.55 Uhr.

The two qualifying sessions were very close, and with more than 40 cars on the track, the traffic was a significant factor.
