Kurt Thiim (DK) dürfte Mitte Januar 2007 in Dubai ganz kräftig ins Schwitzen geraten. Zusammen mit seinen Freunden Franjo Kovac und Martin Tschornia aus Deutschland wird Kurt einen Renault Clio bei den 24 heißen Stunden auf der Wüstenrennstrecke von Dubai bestreiten. In einer der kleinen Tourenwagenklassen werden der Däne, der Kroate und der Deutsche alles geben um ein Spitzenergebnis einzufahren.
„Dubai ist mittlerweile Kult geworden", so Kurt Thiim. Auch für den Rest der Saison 2007 plant Ex-DTM-Champion Kurt Thiim ganz kräftig. Und Technik ist für den geübten Racer und Testfahrer kein Problem.
„Aber das allein ist es nicht für mich. Ich schaue parallel auch danach, dass sich die Dinge für Nikki (sein 17jähriger Sohn) in der Saison 2007 funktionieren. Abitur und ein Motorsportprogramm sind für Nikki Thiim viel Arbeit in der Saison 2007.

On January 11-12-13th history will see the first 24h race in the middle-east. On a brand new circuit of the Dubai Autodrome the race will start on Thursday 12th at 14.00h. Besides the mainly European teams we will have some competitors from the Arabian Peninsula as well.
