Vitaphone claim fine one-two in Oschersleben; Phoenix makes it three for Germany
It was the race Michael Bartels had never won ... until today !
With a fine performance around the twisting Oschersleben circuit, the nr 1 Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC 12 of Bartels and Biagi crossed the line 14 seconds ahead of its sister car, in the hands of Davies and Biagi, to give the team a fine one-two and an increased lead in the Championship.
Phoenix Racing made it an all-German podium, with Jean-Denis Deletraz and Andrea Piccini finishing third, despite suffering from a broken exhaust in their Aston Martin DBR9.
Brno winners Bert and Janis were fourth, ahead of a trio of Aston Martin DBR9s from Aston Martin Racing BMS and Race Alliance, while Balfe Motorsport scored its first-ever FIA GT points in eighth.
