AvD Interserie Sprint Challenge - In Poznan werden die Karten neu gemischt

Nach den ersten beiden Saisonläufen auf dem Pannoniaring und auf dem EuroSpeedway Lausitz triff sich die AvD Interserie Sprint Challenge am kommenden Wochenende (25.-27.07.08) zu ihrem dritten Lauf im polnischen Poznan. Das „Tor" Poznan, so wie es offiziell genannt wird, ist die einzige permanente Rennstrecke im östlichen Nachbarland von Deutschland. Der anspruchsvolle Kurs befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Flughafen der polnischen Metropole.
Die Interserie gastiert in Poznan schon zum vierten male und wird dort mit der polnischen Formula Super Sport und der tschechischen Formel E die beiden Sprintrennen über je 70 Kilometer austragen. So wird es vor allem bei den Zweiliterrennwagen zu spannenden Auseinandersetzungen kommen.
Tabellenführer Thomas Conrad aus Dettenhausen, der erstmals in Poznan mit seinem Formel Renault am Start sein wird, muss sich vor allem mit den Lokalmatadoren Michael Gil (F3 Reynard - VW) und Maurycy Kochanski (F3 Dallara - Mugen) auseinander setzen.
Die beiden Polen kennen die Piste von Poznan wie ihre Westentasche. Konkurrenz lauert auch aus Tschechien. Hier dürfte Martin Tlusty im Formel Renault zu erwähnen sein, der auf dem EuroSpeedway in der Austria Formel Renault Cup-Wertung volle Punkte einfuhr. Nicht zu unterschätzen ist David Palmi (Formel Renault). Er zählt wie sein Landsmann Tlusty zu den schnellsten Formel Renault-Piloten in Tschechien.
Nicht unerwähnt sollte der Ungar Ferenc Ratkai im Coloni-Nissan bleiben. Ihm gelang es auf dem EuroSpeedway auf Anhieb aufs Podest zu fahren. Angeführt wird der Interserie - Tross vom mehrmaligen Champion Peter Milavec aus Österreich.
Der Bleiburger kommt wiederum nach Poznan und hält dort den Rundenrekord. Dieser dürfte 2008 allerdings verbessert werden ,da Milavec mit dem Formel Nissan (Dallara-V6) am Start ist. Mit dem Rennen in Poznan läutet die Interserie eine englische Woche ein.
Bereits 6 Tage nach Poznan ist die Traditionsrennserie in Hockenheim zu Gast. Nach der Sommerpause startet die AvD Interserie Sprint Challenge zu ihren Saisonhöhepunkt, dem Truck Grand Prix (30.08.08) in Most. Diese Veranstaltung wurde kurzfristig in den Interserie - Kalender aufgenommen, da der anberaumte Termin innerhalb des 24h-Rennen in der Lausitz (15.08.08) vom Veranstalter abgesagt wurde.
Der Truck Grand Prix in Most wurde 2007 von ca.50.000 Zuschauern besucht. Die Interserie wird in Most erneut mit dem Austria Formel 3 Cup starten. Zudem sind Formel-Autos der Division 1 und Sportwagen gemeldet.

With the victory in race one Mirko Bortolotti (Lucidi Motors) achieved today the lead of the Italian Formula 3 championship, standing at 60 points. Edoardo Piscopo (Team Ghinzani) was only eighth since he was forced to start from the back of the grid due to some electric problems during the formation lap. Now he is 3 points adrift the new leader.
