Siegerehrung auf der Essen Motor Show

Zum zweiten Mal nach 2008 ist die Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy, unterstützt von Hauptsponsor H&R, auf der Essen Motor Show mit einem eigenen Stand vertreten. In Halle 6 wird Promoter Rolf Krepschik und sein Team über die kommende Saison, in der die STT ihr 25jähriges Bestehen feiert, für Fragen rund um die STT zur Verfügung stehen. Am Samstag, dem Eröffnungstag der Motor Show für das Publikum, wurden die fünfzehn punktbesten Teilnehmer und Klassensieger der Saison 2009 geehrt. STT Streckensprecher Wolfgang Drabiniok moderierte vor vollbesetzten Tribünen die  Jahressiegerehrung.

Die Klassensieger: Rüdiger Klos (Porsche Turbo Klasse1), Pierre Bônhote (Mitsubishi Evo 7 Klasse 3), Joachim Duscher (Audi 80 Turbo Klasse 4), Joachim Bunkus (Triumph Dolomite Sprint Klasse 6), Christopher Gerhard (Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Klasse 8) und Sven Fisch (V8 STAR Klasse 10).

Anschließend erhielten die 15 Punktebesten auf der Showbühne ein Pokal und ein Erinnerungsposter aus den Händen von Rolf Kepschik und Patrick Holzer überreicht.

Ein besonderes Erlebnis hatten dabei die drei Bestplatzierten. In ungewohnter Position auf dem Beifahrersitz drifteten die Drei um den Indoor-Rennkurs, bevor sie ihre Pokale in Empfang nehmen durften. Als jüngster Teilnehmer erhielt Marcel Ernst den Ehrenpreis der Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy.

Es gab aber nicht nur Pokale, sondern die anschließende Verlosung bescherten den fest eingeschriebenen STT Startern wertvolle Sachpreise, die von den Sponsoren und Förderpartnern der STT gestiftet wurden. Als Glücksfee fungierte Langstreckenpilotin Sabine Schmitz. So erhielten Sascha Ernst und Rene Freisberg Öl der Firma Castrol. Jeweils ein Rennsitz der Firma König konnten Ulrich Becker, Daniel Schrey und Joachim Duscher mit nach Hause nehmen. Joachim Bunkus durfte sich über Gewindeeinsätze der Firma Bölloff freuen. Rüdiger Klos erhielt ein Bilstein Fahrwerk und Rene Snel nahm ein BBS Kompletträdersatz mit nach Holland.

„Die Siegerehrung auf der Showbühne der Essen Motor Show war für die STT ein gelungener Abschluss der Saison. Jetzt gilt es die letzten noch offenen Punkte des Terminkalenders 2010 zu klären“, so Rolf Krepschik. Geplant sind Starts am Salzburgring, in Hockenheim, Assen, EuroSpeedway oder Zandvoort. Als sicher darf die Veranstaltung in Spa und das Finale auf dem Nürburgring vom 22.-24.10. angesehen werden.

Die STT Teilnehmer dürfen sicherlich einen ausgewogenen Terminkalender mit reizvollen Strecken erwarten, was die meisten der vorjährigen Teilnehmer erwog sich jetzt schon als feste Starter für das Jubiläumsjahr einzuschreiben. So gab der neue STT Champ Christopher Gerhard seine Meldung direkt nach der Siegerehrung ab.

 „ Mir hat das erste Jahr in der STT mit dem Titelgewinn sehr gut gefallen und ich freue mich auf die kommende Saison“, äußerste sich Christopher Gerhard zufrieden. Mit Joachim Bunkus ist der Vizemeister der abgelaufenen Saison ebenfalls wieder mit von der Partie. Der Triumph Dolomite Pilot hatte als einer der ersten seine Saisonnennung abgebeben.

Damit geht die STT gut gerüstet in die Jubiläumssaison 2010, in der einige Überraschungen zu erwarten sind.
