After the Monster Energy Grand Prix of the USA, the FIM Motocross World Championship travels to Brazil to celebrate the fourth Grand Prix of the season. Indaiatuba is the venue that will host the third Brazilian GP in a row and Honda will be the title sponsor this year.

The MX1 class arrives in Brazil more exciting than ever, having up to seven different riders on the podium after the three Grand Prix’s celebrated so far. Clement Desalle arrives as the current leader of the Championship and he will have to defend the leadership of the likes of Max Nagl, Antonio Cairoli and Steven Frossard.

In MX2 Ken Roczen has been the clear dominant on hard pack soil, but Jeffrey Herlings is totally determined to beat him in a fast track, as it is the one of Indaiatuba. Tommy Searle, who is third in the Championship, will also fight for his maiden Grand Prix victory after his come back from the USA.

Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1’s Clement Desalle landed in Brazil as the current red plate holder, six points ahead of second classified Max Nagl. Desalle saw the 2010 MX1 Title go on the hands of Antonio Cairoli in Brazil last year, so he is determined to ride for another GP victory, which would be his third one this 2011 season.

Second in the point standings is German Max Nagl from Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing, who seems to be more and more confortable on his new machine. This year, Nagl has only missed the podium in Bulgaria being tight in points with third classified Jonathan Barragán, which means that Brazil can be the place where he conquers his first GP victory of the season.

Antonio Cairoli from Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX1 is getting closer to the top two riders, but he is still third in the point standings. The Italian imposed an incredible rhythm in Valkenswaard, but in both Bulgaria and Glen Helen, Cairoli has not succeeded in being on the podium. However, this weekend he will do his best to repeat his 2010 GP victory in Campo Grande and reduce the 24 points difference with the leader of the series, Clement Desalle.

Monster Energy Yamaha’s Steven Frossard did not have a very fortunate weekend in Glen Helen and he lost the red plate and he went down to the fourth position in the point standings. Last year Frossard was seventh in Brazil, but he is convinced that he will be able to improve such result and climb up some positions in the Championship.

Home rider Antonio Jorge Balbi will race this weekend in the MX1 class, together with nine more Brazilian riders. Two riders from Uruguay will also take part in the Honda Grand Prix of Brazil and there will be one rider representing Argentina and one from Costa Rica.

2010 MX1 PODIUM:

1. Antonio Cairoli
2. David Philippaerts
3. Max Nagl

2010 MX1 POLEMAN: David Philippaerts

Red Bull Teka KTM Factory Racing MX2’s Ken Roczen is at the moment the rider to beat in the MX2 class. Since the season started, nobody has taken the red plate from the German talent. Last year in Campo Grande, Brazil, he went out with the overall victory, so he is determined to repeat such success this weekend in Indaiatuba.

His team-mate Jeffrey Herlings is showing great improvements Grand Prix per Grand Prix, so Indaiatuba might be the place to get his first GP victory on hard pack, after his GP victory on the sand of Valkenswaard.

CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Tommy Searle has been very consistent so far and he has succeeded in being on the podium at every Grand Prix. For the British rider is going to be his first experience on Brazilian soil and he will make his best to go for the overall win.

Zach Osborne from Bike-it Cosworth Wild Wolf Yamaha team did not have a good weekend at his home Grand Prix, but he is still fourth in the point standings. The American was fifth last year in Brazil, so it can be a good opportunity for the American rider to obtain his first podium of the season.

Completing the top five is CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit’s Max Anstie, who missed the podium last weekend in Glen Helen being tight in points with his team-mate Tommy Searle. The British rider has been working really hard and had missed the podium twice with the same points of the third classified, so he might get his maiden podium this weekend in Indaiatuba on his first experience in Brazil.

Home rider Swian Zanoni injured his wrist in the Monster Energy Grand Prix of the USA, but he will be racing this weekend in the MX2 class in front of his crowd. Nine more Brazilian riders will also take part in the MX2 class, as well as one rider from Argentina.

2010 MX2 PODIUM:

1. Ken Roczen
2. Marvin Musquin
3. Jeremy Van Horebeek

2010 MX2 POLEMAN: Marvin Musquin
