Assembly of the FLM Prototype is underway
All the components of the Formula Le Mans prototype arrived at our assembly workshops.
Once each part had been checked and tested to make sure it fully complied with the precise specifications defined by our design office, assembly could begin.
As an example, the American V8 engine developed by ORECA Magny-Cours underwent an endurance bench test and ran for more than 20 hours without the slightest problem!
Michelin, the new Formula Le Mans Cup partner
The promoters of Formula Le Mans Cup are pleased to announce that a partnership has been signed with the reference tyre manufacturer in endurance racing.
Michelin is the Formula’s exclusive tyre supplier and will therefore equip all the prototypes in the cup.
Moreover, Michelin will give tyres free of charge to the first three competitors in each race!
X-Trac, Formula Le Mans Cup Official Supplier
X-trac is the gear box official supplier.
This major brand will furnish gear box and spare parts for all the field.
After Brembo & ATR, the Formula can boast yet another prestigious technical partner!
One race, just before the start of the 24 Hours of le Mans
One Formula Le Mans race will take place on Saturday 13 June at the mythical Le Mans circuit !
Prize money and bonus
More than €220,000 in prize money and bonus will be paid out over the Formula Le Mans season.
Tests drive for the winners!
The first 3 drivers in the FLM championship will win a test drive in the leading endurance stables:
A test drive at the wheel of an LMP1 prototype for the winner.
A test drive at the wheel of an LMP2 prototype for the runner-up.
A test drive at the wheel of a GT2 for the second runner-up.
The first run of the Formula Le Mans prototype will take place in november
The FLM 001 chassis will do its first laps during the first half of November. The pictures will be available soon!
Prototype construction limited by the organizers to 20 specimens
Despite the great interest shown in the formula, the organisers have decided to build only 20 chassis the first year.
Organization of meetings
The Formula Le Mans Championship is a chance to take part in different meetings around Europe.
