FIA GT1 World NOGARO Season Opening




The German Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport with Marc Basseng, Markus Winkelhock, Thomas Jäger and Nicky Pastorelli with two Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 at the FIA GT1 World Championship – Optimism before the season opening in Nogaro.

With an approved and promising drivers quartet behind the wheel of the two Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 besides big optimism the German Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport from Friedersdorf aims at the season opening 2012 of the FIA GT1 World Championship this Easter weekend (6th – 9th of April) in Nogaro (France).


Nicky Pastorelli (Italy/Netherlands) and Thomas Jäger (Munich) will be behind the wheel of the car with starting number 37 and Marc Basseng (Neusalza-Spremberg) and Markus Winkelhock (Berglen-Steinach) will drive car number 38.
 

„Of course we hope to get a good chance to fight about championship titles at the driver as well as the team rankings this season“, tells René Münnich, the founder, owner and team principal of the racing stable from Saxony. „Last season we already showed that we are able to reach our goals.


“ That time ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport was on fourth position at the team ranking and the two driver teams were on position five (Marc Basseng/Markus Winkelhock) and eight (Nicky Pastorelli/Dominik Schwager) at the driver ranking. „Now the pack is reshuffled – with new cars and new conditions“, tells René Münnich.
 

After the first two test drives in Navarra (Spain) theteam from Saxony was „very satisfied with the stability and performance of the SLS AMG GT3“, tells Marc Basseng, who is not only behind the wheel, but is also the team manager of ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport. To be well prepared for the season opening race in Nogaro two more test drives were completed at the beginning of this week (2nd/3rd of April) on the race track in South Western France.
 

„We are very happy to have Thomas Jäger in our team. Most likely he drove the most kilometres in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3“, tells Team manager Marc Basseng. „He can certainly help us with this car and his experience. After he drove in three races for us in 2010, it was a consequential choice to have him in the team and behind the wheel of our Mercedes.“
 

The team principal René Münnich shares this opinion and feels confident about his four pilots: „All of them are professionals that already showed their skills in many races and they will do so this championship season as well.“ The whole team is looking forward to start off finally.


„This will be a really exciting season – not least because of the new classification of the Balance of Performance. The first face to face with our combatants will show us, where we stand at the moment“, tells René Münnich.
