Youthstream, Milestone and Black Bean Games are pleased to announce that MUD FIM Motocross World Championship is now available in stores for PlayStation®3, Xbox360® and entertainment systems for Microsoft and Windows PC.
Click here to watch the launch trailer of MUD FIM Motocross World Championship.
MUD FIM Motocross World Championship is the only videogame that exclusively features the FIM MX1 and MX2 World Championships, as well as the amazing Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, which is a massive and internationally recognised worldwide motocross annual event, in which the top riders of the world race for their country to obtain the highly prestigious Chamberlain Trophy. With teams made up of the top three riders from each country, this is a season ending challenge that features only the very best stars of the motocross world.
Since Motocross also means freestyle, MUD FIM Motocross World Championship allows players to perform outstanding tricks and show their skills thanks to the game’s Monster Energy Trick Battle Mode, which sets players the challenge to run down the launching ramp with their motocross bike, jump into the air, defy gravity and show off with the most stunning acrobatics and craziest trick combinations they can achieve.
Set across six sensational arenas, in locales ranging from the Czech Republic to Spain and USA, the Monster Energy-branded mode allows players to perform all the famous tricks from the motocross freestyle scene.
Regarding game modes, the heart of MUD is the MUD World Tour. In the World Tour players will take on the roles of four heroes, each with their own skills and abilities: they can be customised completely independently. Each hero has a special Talent, and each Talent corresponds to a particular challenge from the World Tour. Riders can be customised in various ways, such as by buying, unlocking and equipping helmets, taking energy drinks or becoming members of teams and crews.
As the only Motocross game in the current season, the players of MUD FIM Motocross World Championship will move from their living room to a spectacular virtual motocross world full of adrenaline and fun, thanks to its exclusive content.
The brand new game features 14 different bikes, 84 riders (including stars such as Tony Cairoli, Steven Frossard, Ken Roczen, Jeffrey Herlings, Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed and Ryan Dungey) and 12 official tracks. Besides, the all-new game engine features fully deformable terrain conditions and a realistic MX handling model.
Thanks to the physical handling of the bike in the ground phases and the implementation of the typical Motocross manoeuvre called ‘scrub’ in the aerial phases, MUD is the first motocross game that allows players to really make a difference both on land and in the air, just like the best riders in the World.
Scrubs can be really useful for overtaking, spending the least time possible in the air, and riders will also be able to complete the jump and land before their adversaries. In MUD FIM Motocross World Championship all the players will be able to compete on the ground and slice through the air when they jump, like the real professionals.
The fifth development diary episode of MUD FIM Motocross World Championship focuses on game play and game modes with a guest star: Italian rider Tony Cairoli who is a five times Motocross World Champion (MX1 and MX2) and currently a rider for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team.
Tony Cairoli commented: “I’m glad I got a chance to try MUD FIM Motocross World Championship for myself. It’s great fun and the only game to have the official license for the motocross world championship. You can choose all the riders from both MX1 and MX2 categories…
PLAYERS ARE GOING TO LOVE IT. Speed, mud and glory are the three words I use to describe this sport, and I found these key features in MUD.”
He continued, “An amazing characteristic of Milestone’s title is definitely the scrub. It can be really useful for overtaking, for spending as short a time as possible in the air; you can try to complete the jump and land before your adversary in the game just as you would during a real race. I hope that lots of players have fun virtually riding my bike, or as one of their favourite champions to challenge me on track! ”
Developed by Milestone, a respected and established Italian software developer specialised in racing games, and published worldwide by Black Bean Games, MUD FIM Motocross World Championship is now available on the Xbox360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 and Windows PC .
