Les 7 et 8 juillet 2012, à l’initiative de Team FJ, en collaboration avec le Parc des Exposition de Tours, se produira la première compétition européenne, sur ovale, d’une série NASCAR.
Un évènement historique qui se déroulera dans le cadre festif du Country Bike Rock Festival, rassemblant chaque année plus de 35 000 spectateurs. Une course NASCAR au coeur d’une grande ville dans le cadre d’un grand festival US, l’évènement 2012 pour tout pilote ou fan de sport auto !!!
En voici tous les détails : Première piste ovale temporaire urbaine en Europe - Situé à Tours, Indre et Loire, France, l’ovale extérieur de 600 mètres (1/3 de mile) est inspiré des mythiques pistes américaines et dessiné très large : 25 mètres (65 pieds) pour compenser l’absence de « banking » et permettre des passes d’armes à 3 ou 4 de front !
- Murs de sécurité aux normes FIA, semblables à ceux utilisés sur le circuit urbain F1 de Valence.
- Plus de 40 semi-remorques de matériel sont nécessaires pour assurer la construction du circuit, bordé par une tribune de 5000 places assises.
- Plus de 100 personnes, hors festival, seront dédiées à l’organisation de l’épreuve.
- Au coeur de la ville et au plus proche du public, cet évènement unique est organisée dans le cadre du Country Bike Rock Festival qui rassemble chaque année au Parc des Expositions de Tours plus de 35000 spectateurs pour une énorme fête américaine : une cinquantaine de concerts, rodéo, bike show, danses rock et country, animations... dans la plus pure tradition US !
Première course NASCAR sur ovale en Europe
- Compétition officielle du calendrier 2012 de l’EURO-RACECAR NASCAR Touring Series (4e manche).
-Grâce au consulting et à l’expertise apportées par les officiels NASCAR, la compétition se déroulera selon les règles Touring Series NASCAR.
-Le format sportif sera inédit, sous forme d’éliminatoires : 8 courses le samedi 7 juillet, de 10h à 21h : 4 courses division ELITE : 2 Demi-Finales de 30 tours, 1 Petite Finale et 1 Super Finale de 50 tours. 4 courses division OPEN : 2 Demi-Finales de 30 tours, 1 petite finale et 1 Finale de 50 tours. et 8 courses le dimanche 8 juillet de 10h à 17h30 selon le même programme.
-28 voitures, que se partageront 56 pilotes, en découdront lors de cette grande première où 14 voitures s’affronteront en piste lors de chaque course. Billetterie - réservation Seulement 5000 places assises disponibles pour chaque journée, aux tarifs suivants : 1 jour (samedi ou dimanche) : 50 €, 2 jours (Samedi et Dimanche) : 70 €.
Les billets donnent accès au Village et au paddock EURO-RACECAR NASCAR Touring Series ainsi qu’au Country Bike Rock Festival. Une entrée pour le festival permet de se positionner en bord de piste, mais ne donne pas accès à la tribune.
