TCR events preview of the upcoming weekend

TCR Asia & TCR Thailand will be racing together again for their third event of the season at Bangsaen's street circuit, Thailand.



Malaysian youngster Mitchell Cheah will defend his TCR Asia leadership from his Liqui Moly Team Egstler colleagues Luca Engstler and Diego Moran, who are second and third in the standings, 15 and 25 points behing.



TCR Thailand's
classification is led by Pattarapol Vongprai (Vattana Motorsport) with 83 points, four clear of Chariya Nuya (Billionaire Boy Racing); Jakraphan Davee (Alfaphactory Racing) lies third with a gap of 16.



TCR Italy's
fourth race meeting takes place at Mugello, where Luigi Ferrara and his V-Action Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta will try to add to their tally of three victories.  In the championship classification, Ferrara is followed by the pair of Salvatore Tavano and Matteo Greco who share a Cupra car and are currently 23.5 points behind.


Jürgen Schmarl who claimed his maiden win at Misano, Andrea Larini, the reigning champion Nicola Baldan and Eric Scalvini are all eager to reduce their gaps from the leader.



TCR UK
visits Castle Combe for rounds seven and eight, with the rest of the field well determined to stop Daniel Lloyd's winning streak.



So far the WestCoast Racing driver and his Volkswagen Golf GTI have scored all the points at stake, with three pole positions and six race wins.



Lloyds has built a healty margin of 99 points on top of the classification over Oliver Taylor, while Andreas Bäckman lies third a further 31 points adrift.



Pirelli World Challenge
resumes at Portland International Raceway for its fourth event. Ryan Eversley arrives in Oregon as the leader of the championship in the RealTime Racing Honda Civic.


Two wins and three other podium results out of the six races held so far resulted in a booty of 136 points, seven more than Mark Wilikins in the Brian Herta Autosport Hyundai i30 N; Wilkins' teammate Michael Lewis is third, seventeen points behind the leader.
