Two new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars for StreetArt Racing in 2019

Two new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars for StreetArt Racing in 2019

14.09.2018: As they are so close to Aston Martin Racing, the Belgian team StreetArt Racing has assiduously followed the development of the new Vantage GT4.

As they are so close to Aston Martin Racing, the Belgian team StreetArt Racing has assiduously followed the development of the new Vantage GT4.

Convinced of the potential of this fine car, the team led by Albert Bloem and Damien Hellebuyck will be entering at least two of these beautiful English thoroughbreds in European competitions next year.

The aim is to support candidates for the AMR Young Driver Academy, with an official Aston Martin Racing driver place the focus of attention.

StreetArt Racing is a loyal friend of Aston Martin Racing. The team based in Lodelinsart, close to Charleroi, has been running Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and GT4 cars for nine seasons already.

Over time, Albert Bloem, the team’s owner, and Damien Hellebuyck, team manager, have established strong ties with the management of Aston Martin Racing. "Obviously, we have closely followed the development of the new Aston Martin Vantage GT4 which will appear in competition in 2019," says Albert.

"While work is still underway, it is already clear that this car will have a prominent place among the entries in the GT4 class next year. Add to that our passion for this prestigious brand and you will understand why we could not fail to be attracted by this newcomer.
StreetArt Racing has therefore ordered two Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars for the 2019 season. “Of course it is too early to announce our sporting programme, but the aim is to compete in various championships in Europe,” Damien Hellebuyck continues. “We might even add the management and servicing of a third car.”

Aston Martin Racing seeks a new GT star

At Aston Martin Racing, the desire is more than ever to show confidence in young drivers. That is how the AMR Young Driver Academy was born. This young talent development programme will allow one of the entrants to become an official Aston Martin Racing "Junior" driver in 2020.

It is intended for candidates between 17 and 25 years of age who will be at the wheel of a Vantage GT in certain specific events. Various criteria will be taken into consideration: speed, of course, but also consistency, technical feedback, physical preparation, team spirit, marketing ...

The target is clear: to find a talented driver who will be able in the future to reach the highest level with Aston Martin Racing, like Jonny Adam (winner of the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours in GTE Pro) or, more recently, Ross Gunn, development and reserve AMR driver in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).

“The idea of helping young drivers to develop is something which strongly motivates us,” says Albert Bloem with a smile. “In addition to the sporting side, I also have professional experience outside competition which could be of great assistance. I am convinced that we can help a talented young driver on his way to the AMR Young Driver Academy.”

Anyone interested can contact Damien Hellebuyck by e-mail ( or by telephone (+32 478 96 57 87). At StreetArt Racing the 2019 season starts tomorrow!
