- Attractive junior classification in the ADAC TCR Germany

- ADAC TCR Germany and Honda have been cooperating since 2017

Honda will continue to support the ADAC TCR Germany as official series partner in 2021. This also means that the successful Honda Junior Challenge will be going into the next round.

In addition to the junior driver classification supported by Honda, the car manufacturer from Japan will also continue to provide the safety car in the ADAC TCR Germany. The sixth season of the ADAC TCR Germany begins on 14-16 May at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben - and at the end of the year, the best junior driver will once again be able to cheer on a new Honda Civic.

The Honda Junior Challenge has been a complete success so far and a springboard for touring car drivers into higher classes. In 2017, current WTCR driver Luca Engstler won the junior classification. Max Hesse, who has since been signed by BMW, followed the next year. In 2019, Michelle Halder took the title and in 2020 Marcel Fugel, who will be looking to fight for podium places again this year in the ADAC TCR Germany in the Civic Type R TCR. Eligible for the Honda Junior Challenge 2021 are drivers who are younger than 23.

"We are very pleased to be able to enter the 2021 season in our fifth year as a partner of the ADAC and are looking forward to exciting race weekends," says Klaus Kniedel, Head of Motorsport at Honda Germany.

"With the Honda Junior Challenge, we are jointly creating a special incentive for newcomers," says ADAC Head of Motorsport Thomas Voss: "We are delighted that Honda is not only supporting the ADAC TCR Germany as a partner, but is also actively committed to young talent, now in its fifth year."
