Super Series Celebrates a Successful 2021 Season

11.10.2021: One of the most competitive and exciting seasons for the Super Series, over 150 riders came to test their skills at one of Canada’s premier Motorcycle venues.

One of the most competitive and exciting seasons for the Super Series, over 150 riders came to test their skills at one of Canada’s premier Motorcycle venues.

A total of 11 competitors walked away with championships. Some of them logged their first title ever, while others added to their long and impressive list of awards.

In the 19-rider Novice class, two riders broke away from the rest to compete for the championship. Jordan Decarie and Tyrone Tavares fought hard to be the top dog in Novice, trading wins and poles back and forth all summer long. In the end, Tavares would edge Decarie by fewer than 20 points.

In Amateur Sportbike, Drew Weber set his sights on the title after his success in Novice last season. Six poles and three wins were enough for Weber to pull away and score his first Super Series championship at the amateur level. Wes Barnes and Eric Quintin were not far behind, but couldn’t catch Weber. Weber would also pick up his second championship of 2021, taking top honours in Heavyweight Sportsman less than 25 points ahead of Mike Raniowski.

Mike Raniowski walked away with the Pro Sportbike title, holding off a hard-charging Chris Fehr. Pro Sportbike saw four different winners with Raniowski and Fehr being joined by Louie Raffa and James Collins. Martin Perreault scored his very first title in the Amateur Superbike class. Scoring four wins, Perreault was the only Quebec-based rider to score a title this season.

Elie Daccache continued his streak of 7 championship seasons, dating back to 2015. Scoring two perfect seasons in both Sprint Cup and Pro Superbike. Twelve combined wins, twelve combined poles and Daccache cements his place atop those two standings.

In Lightweight Production, both Ryan Vanderputten and Itsvan Hidvegi fought hard for a title. Despite a terminal failure to the Vanderputten bike ahead of race six, Vanderputten edged out Hidvegi to take the title in one of the closest classes all season. Logging two runner-ups in both Pro Sportbike and Pro Superbike and a third-place finish in Sprint Cup, Chris Fehr wanted a title of his own. Beating David Buckland in a highly contested Lightweight Sportsman class, Fehr walked away with his second title in two years.

The Lightweight Superbike was claimed by David Buckland. While the team of Michael Vinten and Celeste Atkinson took top honours for the first time in the Sidecar class.

Some special awards were presented to some select riders for their special achievements.
