Shortly before the turn of the year, the team around team boss Kimmo Liimatainen announced that they will defend their drivers' title from the 2020 season in the DTM. In order to build on the successes and titles of the past seasons, they are relying on two Audi R8 LMS GT3 cars and a powerful driver duo.

Nico Müller (SUI) and Dev Gore (USA) will contest the races for Team Rosberg.

With Nico Müller, the reigning DTM runner-up returns to Team Rosberg in Neustadt. He started his DTM career here in the 2014 season. Dev Gore will be the second US-American driver in DTM history after Joey Hand.

Kimmo Liimatainen, Managing Director Team Rosberg: "
Behind us lie exhausting weeks and months in which we have pushed ahead with our realignment as a team. Now we can finally say that we start the upcoming season with the best prerequisites.

With the Audi R8 LMS GT3, we are relying on one of the most successful cars in the GT3 class and it is good and logical that, after the incredible successes of recent years, we continue to be associated with Audi Sport in customer sport. When I was able to tell our team in the last few days that Nico Müller was returning to us, it was a very special moment and the joy was enormous.

This once again underlines our ambitions to fight for the title with a strong team. With Dev Gore, a young, hungry driver comes to us who has proven his quality in international formula series, but also already in the GT3 class."

Nico Müller: "I am very happy to return to Team Rosberg and to be back in the DTM in 2021. To be in the hunt for the title with an Audi R8 LMS at the start of the new era with adapted technical regulations motivates me a lot. Let's go!"

Dev Gore: "I've always been a big fan of the DTM and have followed the series since I started racing. The races are always very exciting and the quality of the teams and drivers are some of the best in motorsport.

To be able to race here as a driver is special for me and to do it with the reigning champion Team Rosberg is a fantastic opportunity. I will be involved with the team as much as I can to understand the car and get to grips with the series. I'm already counting down the days until the first test of the season!"

Kimmo Liimatainen on the 2021 DTM season: "
The promoter ITR GmbH around Gerhard Berger has done an excellent job to bring the DTM back to its former strength. We all know about the enormous importance of the DTM for German motorsport.

Let's now look forward to exciting races, which will be broadcast professionally by SAT.1 as always, and hope that the loyal DTM fans will be able to follow our sport at the race track again."
