SWRT up pace amid one of the hottest days yet for the WRC
Impreza WRC2008 No.5 Petter Solberg: "The first stage this afternoon [SS12] was very slippery, but the second was loose but nothing special. We found some speed with changes at the first service, so I'm happy.
We’re just continuing to drive normally with nothing crazy. The roads are cleaning all the time, but there are still lots of rocks to avoid. It’s incredibly hot in the cars which is so, so tough, but we’re just driving cleanly to the finish."
Impreza WRC2008 No.6 Chris Atkinson: "The car felt good at the stage starts and we saw some good split times and were second fastest on stage 12. Our road position definitely helped as the roads were cleaner, but I wasn’t too worried about the rocks and avoiding them.
Where you might normally avoid sliding too much over rocks or lift off for them, I just wanted to see what we could do."
