Walker Racing Thanks Fans for the Good Times

The 34th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach marks an end of an era for Champ Car’s 29 years of rich racing. Walker Racing wants to take this opportunity and pay tribute to their loyal supporters through the years, the fans.

As a thank you to them, Walker Racing will be dedicating an area on both sides of Alex Tagliani’s No.15 Walker Racing Cosworth/Bridgestone/DP01 entry on Sunday, April 20. Fans will have the chance to be an actual part of the race and sign their name on the car by making a charitable donation to CARA Charities and in return they get to be a part of history being made.

"Throughout our time in Champ Car we have had an extremely loyal group that has followed us all around the world and we owe them a great deal of thanks and gratitude for supporting us. This weekend is dedicated to them. Any fan who wants to make their mark and put it on the car can. There is a great charity in CARA, who has been a big part of Champ Car through the years.

By making a donation to CARA Charities, Walker Racing will run your mark during the final Champ Car race on Sunday. For those fans that will be at Long Beach come and make a donation to CARA, we would love to see you and for those that can’t be there, you will be missed," stated Walker Racing owner, Derrick Walker.

CARA Charities will be set up outside the Walker Racing transporters in the Champ Car paddock, on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. PST. Fans will also have the opportunity to have autographs signed and their picture taken with Alex Tagliani from 12:40 – 1:00 p.m. on both days.
