Scott Pruett will chat with fans on WGI Fan Forum

Pruett is the next featured driver leading up to the Centurion Boats at The Glen

Watkins Glen International will host its next driver chat on the WGI Fan Talk Forum on Wednesday, July 23rd and will welcome one of the most talented drivers in racing today. Star driver Scott Pruett will be the featured guest and will be available for fans questions and comments from 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM.

The live chats are open to all race fans that are registered on the WGI Fan Talk Forum. All fans will need to do in order to participate is log into the fan forum and click on the link that appears following a successful login. Not registered yet? Simply log-on to the WGI Fan Talk Forum (www.TheGlen.com/forum), fill out the registration form and you are ready to post!

Pruett’s chat is the second live chat in a series of four. One of the stars of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will chat with fans on Wednesday, July 30. Then, on Wednesday, August 6, a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver will chat with fans about the upcoming Centurion Boats at The Glen, August 7-10.

Scott Pruett is recognized as one of the top road course drivers in racing today and has had great success at The Glen. He is a regular in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and currently shares the overall points lead with teammate Memo Rojas.

The two co-drivers have already tasted victory at The Glen as they captured the 2008 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen in June. The talented duo are coming off a win at last weekend’s Porsche 250 at Barber Motorsports Parkway and earlier this year, teamed with Dario Franchitti and Juan Pablo Montoya to win the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Pruett’s success at The Glen includes victories in the 2004 and 2008 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, as well as the 2006 Crown Royal 200. Pruett has four Top-10 finishes in the last six years at The Glen as a driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series including a runner-up finish in 2003. In 2007, Pruett competed in both Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series races at The Glen as well as the Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

Fans can expect to see Pruett and Rojas giving their competitors a run for their money in the Crown Royal 200 during the Centurion Boats at The Glen weekend, August 7-10. There is also a possibility that Pruett may enter one or both of the Zippo 200 and the Centurion Boats at the Glen, as he has competed in these events in years past.

Tickets for the historic 60th Anniversary of racing in Watkins Glen are on-sale now! The action continues at Watkins Glen International, August 7-10, when the stars and cars of NASCAR take to the track. The Centurion Boats at The Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will be on Sunday, August 10, and Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series event will be on Saturday, August 9.

The DP class of the Grand-Am Rolex Series will also return to The Glen for the second time this season for the running of the Crown Royal 200. Tickets are going fast! For additional information and ticket orders, please contact the Watkins Glen International ticket office at 866-461-RACE or log on to the official website www.TheGlen.com.
