Nurburgring – Race 1
Fairuz Fauzy (Fortec Motorsport) was disqualified from the first race at the Nürburgring due to a technical non-compliance. Esteban Guerrieri (Ultimate Signature) was handed a 25-second penalty for failing to stay within the bounds of the track.
Consequently, all the other drivers that finished the race move up one position. Giedo Van der Garde therefore takes runner-up spot and the Russian Mikhail Aleshin (Carlin Motorsport) completes the podium line-up. Newcomer Siso Cunill (RC Motorsport) ends up in 10th, thus scoring a point in his first ever race in Formula Renault 3.5 Series.
The 25-second penalty given to Esteban Guerrieri for overtaking outside the bounds of the track move him back down the field to 12th position.
