Performance Festival in the Ruhr Metropolis with Numerous Automobile Manufacturers



Clear the stage for automobile passion: From November 26 to December 4 (November 25: Preview Day), the Essen Motor Show is congregating over 500 exhibitors relating to all aspects of performance series vehicles, tuning, motorsports and classic cars at Messe Essen.



This year, the euphoria of the more than 300,000 expected fans is also being fuelled by the automobile manufacturers at the performance festival: Abarth, BMW, Ford, Peugeot, Porsche Motorsport, Renault Sport Deutschland and Skoda are presenting themselves with innovations and premieres.



The ideal sponsor of the automobile fair is the General German Automobile Club (ADAC) which is introducing its motorsports programme in Essen.



Vehicles with high-quality tuning are awaiting the fans of the Essen Motor Show, amongst others, at Abt Sportsline, AC Schnitzer, Brabus, Lorinser, Startech and Techart Automobildesign.




These are being supplemented by the tyre manufacturers Continental, Hankook and Toyo Tires. As a particular highlight, the "Tune It! Safe!" initiative is, together with the Association of Automobile Tuners and further partners, presenting its new campaign vehicle on the first day of the fair:




traditionally, a sports car in a police look. Hip young tuning forges such as JP Performance, Liberty Walk, Sidney Industries and Simon Motorsport also belong to the line-up at this year's show.




Automobile Dreams: 70 Years of Ferrari and 40 Years of the VW Golf GTI



The supporting programme of the fair is something to behold in 2016: On the occasion of the forthcoming 70th company anniversary of Ferrari, Messe Essen is staging a special show in Hall 3 with 15 sports cars, Formula 1 vehicles and predecessor models of the make from Maranello.



The spectrum is extending from the Alfa Romeo 8C 1750 from 1931 to the current Ferrari series models. Further classic vehicles with the cavallino rampante are awaiting the visitors under the title, "Jubilee Preview:






70 Years of Ferrari - History + Motorsports from 1947 to 2017" in the Classic & Prestige Salon of the organiser S.I.H.A. in Hall 1.




This year, VW is also celebrating an anniversary with the Golf GTI. For 40 years, the icon amongst the compact sports cars has been arousing the enthusiasm of its fans. The Essen Motor Show is taking this opportunity to provide the performance classic car with its own exhibition.



Another highlight is being offered by the design studies in Hall 3 with concept cars, prototypes and studies from well-known automobile designers. The spotlight is shining, amongst other vehicles, on the Speedback GT from David Brown Automotive.




The elegant sports car brings the 1960s back to life and is reminiscent of James Bond's famous Aston Martin DB5. Moreover, the visitors can see the Parcour from Italdesign, a concept car with cameras instead of exterior mirrors and a glass bonnet which permits an unobstructed view of the engine.



 The New Zealander Gordon Tronson has done without the glass bonnet: His do-it-yourself pick-up has four engines on the open loading area which supply 4,000 bhp. Visitors can find the curious vehicle next to other crazy cars in Hall 10 at Messe Essen.





Join In and Experience: DMAX Motorsports Arena and tuningXperience




The Essen Motor Show is a show for joining in and experiencing. In the DMAX Motorsports Arena, live action is on the agenda around the clock including drift rides for the fans.



At the Essen Motor Show, they can find what they are looking for not only at the large manufacturers and tuners: The tuningXperience has long since developed from an insider's tip to a blockbuster on the scene.



The special show in Halls 1A and 12 is encompassing around 200 ambitiously tuned vehicles from all over Europe, more than ever before.



Wide bodies as well as youngtimers and classic vehicles are particularly popular amongst the tuners, e.g. a Porsche 964 with a bodykit from Rauh Welt Begriff (RWB) and a VW Beetle Cabriolet.




And that is far from everything: Vintage car friends and those who want to become them are experiencing the fascination of classic vehicles in the Classic & Prestige Salon in Hall 1. In a relaxed and stylish atmosphere, more than 250 exquisite automobiles are on sale there.



The extensive range offered by the over 25 renowned international dealers is encompassing vintage cars, young classic vehicles, historic motorsports as well as classic and prestige automobiles - from the exclusive sports car to the compact class preserved in a good condition.



After this detour into the world of classic elegance, the fans can also see, for example, the Car Media World, the DTM World and hot rods in the other halls. Europe's leading fair for performance vehicles is leaving nothing to be desired.
