Abdul Latif Jameel Motors signs 3-year contract to become main partner for Saudi motorsport tournaments

▪ Saudi Arabia’s six largest motorsport events will be referred to as official ‘Saudi Toyota’ motorsport tournaments




Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in the Kingdom, has signed an official agreement to become the main partner all the national tournaments held and organized by the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF) for the next three years.
 


The agreement was signed at SAMF’s headquarters in Jeddah by HRH Prince Khalid S. Al Faisal, Chairman of SAMF; Mr. Abdullah S. Bakhashab, General Manager of Abdullah Bakhashab Establishment and the Kingdom’s most successful rally driver; and Mr. Hassan Jameel, Deputy President of Abdul Latif Jameel .
 


Prince Khalid commented:
“This agreement opens new horizons for Saudi motorsports through an exciting partnership with of one of Saudi Arabia’s largest and most successful companies. Importantly, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors represents a prestigious automotive brand that engages with a broad range of motorsports around the world.”
 


“This partnership will pave the way for positive steps that will benefit Saudi motorsports, in particular the next generation of competitors, and is an important initial step in working with the private sector to extend their support to SAMF, its events, andits participants,” he added.
 


For his part, Hassan Jameel emphasized the company’s pride in becoming the main partner for Saudi motorsport tournamentsand expressed his thanks and appreciation to Prince Khalid for his trust in Abdul Latif Jameel Motors.




He added, “thispartnership provides an important opportunity to support national sport projects and become key contributors to support the local sports sector, which is a key pillar for Vision 2030. It will also provide Saudi youth with important opportunities to work and participate in promoting this sector and enhancing the Kingdom’s growing role in the global sports and tourismlandscape.”
 


According to the new agreement, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors will be  for the largest motorsport tournaments in the Kingdom. The official Saudi Toyota motorsport tournaments and will include six different tournaments:

 


1. Saudi Toyota Desert Rally, will be launched this year
2. Saudi Toyota Drift Championship
3. Saudi Toyota Autocross
4. Saudi Toyota Drag Championship
5. Saudi Toyota Hillclimbing
6. Saudi Toyota Time Attack


The company’s new initiative comes in support of SAMF’s commitment to Vision 2030 and to enhance active participation of the private sector, in addition to the vitalsupport of HRH Prince Abdulaziz T. AlFaisal, Chairman ofthe Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority. ‬
