•    Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) continues to expand its global automotive reach having appointed three new retailers in Asia

•    New BAC Tokyo and BAC Fukuoka showroom openings in Japan, and the launch of BAC Taiwan, further reinforces the British supercar brand’s global reach to more than 46 territories

•    BAC Tokyo operates in partnership with Bespoke Automotive; BAC Fukuoka and BAC Taiwan established with Eisan Motors and Yun San Motors

•    All three new openings stem from strong continued demand in Asia for BAC’s ultra driver-focussed model range

•    Each showroom encompasses BAC’s design values, delivering an immersive experience space for visitors

•    Each outlet will also provide full sales and aftersales support, ensuring the customer gets a first-class BAC experience

•    Two BAC Mono Rs have left BAC’s Liverpool facility in the UK and are set to arrive at BAC Fukuoka and BAC Tokyo, being the first Mono R examples in the country

•    First opportunity to view Mono R in Japan for the public will be at the Automobile Council event on 14-16 April 2023 (https://www.automobile-council.com)

Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) continues its strategic global expansion with the announcement of three new sales divisions across Asia. Comprising two retailers in Japan and one in Taiwan, the initiatives expand the reach and rapid scale-up of the British technology-driven supercar brand.

The enhanced operative network builds on BAC’s longstanding presence in Asia, which accounts for over 33% of the brand’s total international export volume. Demand for the Mono range in Hong Kong and Indonesia continues to intensify whilst in Singapore and Malaysia, two other key emerging markets, BAC recently established new operations to great success. To date, Japan remains BAC’s second largest single market, and the opening of two dealerships in the country means that for the first time, BAC will be represented on both Honshu Island and Kyūshū Island.

Two BAC Mono Rs have been completed at BAC’s Liverpool factory in the UK, with both examples now making their way to Japan to be featured in BAC’s new Fukuoka and Tokyo showrooms. Their delivery marks the first and only of BAC’s highly acclaimed, limited R models to land in Japan. Both models will be displayed at the Automobile Council event between 14-16 April 2023 at the Makuhari Messe exhibition centre, which will mark the first public viewing opportunity of Mono R in Japan.

The BAC Tokyo showroom will fall under the auspice of Bespoke Automotive, a premium retailer specialising in made-to-order vehicles produced by the UK's leading niche automotive manufacturers. Located in the heart of the Japanese capital, BAC Tokyo will display its unique Mono R, finished in a BAC Bespoke specification featuring striking deep purple-tinted visible carbon fibre, which stays true to BAC’s ‘One of A Kind’ ethos.

On the northern shore of Japan’s Kyushu Island in Fukuoka, Eisan Motors, an established, highly-regarded retailer of prestigious luxury and performance automotive brands will open their BAC Fukuoka dealership. Their showroom will also host a unique Mono R, finished in a ‘Robot White’ paint scheme – a colour which has become synonymous with the British brand. Eisan Motors’ parent company, Yun San Motors, is also representing BAC in Taiwan, where it will present the Mono model range exclusively in their Taipei showroom. Mono will be available to view at BAC Taiwan later in 2023.

In addition to presenting the Mono supercars to customers, each of the three new retailers – BAC Tokyo, BAC Fukuoka and BAC Taiwan – will provide full aftersales, service and maintenance support.

Chris Lockhart, BAC’s Head of Global Sales, commented: “Today, the BAC Mono is a truly global supercar, which is exported to more than 46 territories and is heralded as the pinnacle of driving enjoyment.

We are delighted to take this opportunity to expand the reach of the BAC brand even further and introduce the unique appeal of the world’s most driver-focussed single-seater supercar to new audiences through successful strategic partnerships with Bespoke Automotive in Tokyo, Eisan Motors in Fukuoka and Yun San Motors in Taiwan.”

Whilst the BAC brand continues to enjoy rapid global scale-up, the company, set up by brothers Neill and Ian Briggs in 2009, and its products remain British to the core. Of the 1,250 bespoke components used to create a Mono, 95% are sourced in the UK, 50% of which are supplied by local companies in Liverpool City and the Northwest regions.

For the past fourteen years, the Briggs brothers have remained unrelentingly focused on their mission to deliver the ultimate road-going driver’s car. BAC’s steadfast approach has led to the creation of numerous world firsts in the global automotive industry to ensure exceptional levels of performance and peerless promotion of weight reduction.

BAC was the first company in the world to develop hybrid carbon-composite wheels in collaboration with Dymag and became the first manufacturer in the world to create a car featuring panels incorporating the use of graphene.
