The 2014 ESSEN MOTOR SHOW is about to experience a great presentation by KTM. The “X-BOW BATTLE” will be in Hall 6 to reveal exciting new features for the 2015 season while KTM X-BOW service partner WIMMER RST will be in Hall 3 with a selection of its exclusive “1,300 HP Armada”: The KTM X-BOW GT from Solingen with 485 HP!


Over the past five years the “X-BOW BATTLE” has established itself as one of the most successful racing series in Europe, and as a One-make competition it is definitely among the most successful representatives of its trade worldwide. But because not taking a step forward is also the same as taking a step back, KTM is introducing exciting new features for the upcoming season.

 
After a one year absence, the “Porsche Alpenpokal” returns in 2015 to serve as the support series for the “X-BOW BATTLE” as well as the calendar offering drivers not only renowned circuits like the Pannoniaring, Red Bull Ring and the Slovakiaring, but also the magnificent natural racing circuit of Brno is making a comeback.


In addition there are also two completely new locations, both of which are Formula 1 racing circuits. The first round of the season will be at the “Circuit de Catalunya” as part of the “Espíritu de Montjuïc”, which year for year attracts around 60,000 enthusiastic fans who come to cheer on legendary racing cars.


 And an absolute season’s highlight will be the “BATTLE” as part of the “30th Int. ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix” at the Nürburgring where each day around 100,000 fans attend the races.


The biggest new attraction however will be the so-called “X-BOW ROOKIES CHALLENGE”, where KTM has created a springboard into the “X-BOW BATTLE” as well as to promote and support popular (motor)sports. In the newly created entry-level class, which is to be held as part of the “BATTLE SPRINT” races, it will be possible to experience fantastic racing for little money.


 Further details will be available at the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW, but one thing is for sure, the ten available starting slots will not be free for long. All the information about the “X-BOW BATTLE” and the “X-BOW ROOKIES CHALLENGE” will be available from 28th of November to 07th of December 2014 in Hall 6, Stand B 112.


But it is KTM sales and service partner WIMMER Rennsporttechnik that will present the horsepower highlight in Essen. The company, which is based in Solingen, already exceeds the wishes of many X-BOW owners and just in time for the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW, the tuning specialists have managed to extract a whopping 485hp peak performance and 520Nm of torque out of the 2.0 liter Audi TFSI engine.


This results in an almost unbelievable 242.5hp per liter and a sensational power-to-weight ratio of only 1.75 kg per hp! All those who will be unable to resist the attraction of this “Über X-BOW” – by the way only one of three models from the company’s 1,300hp-strong X-BOW Armada – should not miss the opportunity of visiting WIMMER Rennsporttechnik in Hall 3, Stand C 134.
