Extensive AC Schnitzer Tuning Programme for the Range Rover Sport 14.01.2015: AC Schnitzer celebrated a world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show

AC Schnitzer celebrated a world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2014: the Range Rover Sport 3.0L SD V6 Diesel, complete with an extensive range of technical and aesthetic tuning products. These innovative solutions for the Range Rover Sport are now available for order from all Land Rover dealers in Germany and at around 20 locations across the world.
 
    
The goal of the Aachen-based tuning experts AC Schnitzer was to push the boundaries of the Range Rover Sport. This has been achieved amongst others by more diesel power, giving greater acceleration and perceptibly more torque. The Range Rover Sport by AC Schnitzer has been upgraded from 215 kW / 292 hp / 600 Nm to deliver a stunning 250 kW / 340 hp / 720 Nm.
 

At AC Schnitzer, more engine power means more driving fun without feeling guilty about the environment. Because in almost all engines, the standard fuel consumption and CO2 emissions remain the same thanks to the improvement in efficiency. The increase in power actually improves the CO2 value per hp, and the optimized engine efficiency allows fuel savings.
 

The three-year warranty from AC Schnitzer means you can enjoy driving in complete peace of mind. From the day of first registration up to a distance of 100,000 kilometres, the Aachen-based company offers a warranty on all assemblies excluded from the Land Rover warranty - and with an option to extend the warranty for a fourth year.
 
 
The exhaust gas flow of the Range Rover Sport is improved by fitting the AC Schnitzer stainless steel twin silencer with its two "Sports Trim“ tailpipes or four "Sport“ tailpipes (both in right/left combination). Visually, the exhaust pipes give a striking final touch.
 

The all-wheel drive model is more agile and manoeuvrable thanks to the AC Schnitzer lowering module, which offers a choice of lowering the Range Rover Sport by either 30 or 35 mm. The standard body lowering function is of course retained.
 

The Range Rover Sport by AC Schnitzer rolls along the road on Type VIII forged racing alloys in either 10.0J x 22 inch or 11.0J x 23 inch, and of course corresponding tyres (275/40 R 22 or 305/30 R 23 all round).
 

Alternatively, you could choose the Type V forged alloys in BiColor or anthracite in 10.0J x 22 inch with 275/40 R 22 tyres.
 

30% weight saving - reduced centrifugal forces - improved cornering and more driving fun. All these positive qualities are features of our forged alloy wheels. Depending on wheel style, they bring a weight saving of almost 20 kg on the vehicle.
 

Manfred Wollgarten, responsible for suspension set-up at AC Schnitzer, describes the effect on the driving sensation as: “20 kg unsprung mass less on the car is a huge amount. It feels like 100 kg - the car handles so much better immediately.”
 



A powerful, sporting presence with a striking silhouette is the result of the aerodynamic elements: the AC Schnitzer front and rear skirt with integral diffuser.


Complete skirts of high quality PU-Rim are fitted to both the front and rear sections - straightforward to install, they simply replace the entire standard component.
 

In the cockpit, the AC Schnitzer keyholder and velours foot mats in sophisticated design enhance the interior.
 

Now the benefits of AC Schnitzer tuning are no longer restricted just to BMW and MINI vehicles - the product programme for the Range Rover Sport is our first for the Land Rover marque, and we are already looking forward to further models!
