TECHART engine enhancements have always been renowned for their well-balanced combination of high performance and endurance. The new powerkit for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo merges both disciplines perfectly.


The total power output of 700 horsepower and the maximum torque of 920 Newtonmeters (679 lb.-ft.) adds a remarkable power boost pushing the top speed beyond the 300 km/h line. The powerkit TA058/T2 is the forerunner of another TECHART premiere: the new TECHART Magnum range will be unveiled in late 2015 and the powerkit is one of the key options of the program.



Teamplay: TECHART’s well-established TECHTRONIC interacts with the series engine management and TECHART’s proprietary engine components

The TECHART TECHTRONIC engine management is reliable when it comes to intelligent activation of additional power rescources. The system ensures optimum performance at all speeds and provides a well-balanced torque curve.


 At the same time it is a warrantor of long life and stability, by ensuring the maintenance of all motor protection functions.


 For years, TECHTRONIC is therefore the heart of TECHART's quality powerkits manufactured in Hoefingen.


In new engine enhancement kit TA058/T2, the TECHTRONIC works together with the standard engine control unit of the Cayenne Turbo and coordinates the interaction of the engine and the new TECHART components.


This includes TECHART high performance exhaust manifolds and highly efficient TECHART turbochargers with ball bearing compressor/turbine shafts. The proprietary developed components use the exhaust energy particularly effectively.


The turbochargers increase the air throughput significantly and are characterized by both, a highly dynamic response with a rapid boost pressure build-up, as well as high stability. Other TECHART modifications are the optimized oil and water pipes and the sport air filters for an unthrottled intake.


In conjunction with the TECHTRONIC auxiliary control unit a specific wiring is used for data communication with the motor sensors.



Performance boost: plus 180 horsepower, plus 170 Nm and 29 km/h faster


The TA058/T2 powerkit increases the engine power of the Cayenne Turbo from standard 520 hp to 700 hp. The maximum torque increases from 750 Nm to 920 Nm. The power delivery is regulated in two stages: during normal operation, 640 hp are available under full load. By pressing the Sport button (standard in all Cayenne Turbo models), the full 700 hp are unleashed between 5,400 and 6,000 rpm. The maximum torque is available from 4,400 rpm.


The significant power increase allows impressive performance. For the TECHART-upgraded Cayenne Turbo, the gap between zero and 100 km/h is only 3.9 seconds, half a second less than for the production model. Up to 160 km/h, the lead grows to a second. From standstill, the Cayenne Turbo with TECHART TA058/T2 power kit accelerates to 200 km/h in only 13.8 seconds .


The propulsion levels out at 308 km/h – thanks to special TECHART wheel/tire combinations in 22- and 23-inch dimensions. In combination with the 21-inch standard wheels and tires, electronic speed regulation prevents exceeding the allowable limits at 300 km/h.



Consumption and CO2: TECHART’s powerkit is more than performance and durability

The elaborate TECHART developments of engine components, software and peripherals pay off not only in terms of power delivery and durability. Despite the significant increase in power, only marginal raise of fuel consumption and emissions have been proven.


The results of the testing institute TÜV Süd certified an increase in fuel consumption of less than 1% in the assessment under the Directive Regulation (EC) 715/2007, Type 1. The CO2 emissions are only 0.8% higher than the values of the measured series model. And also the other exhaust emissions move well below the Euro 6 limit values of the Regulation (EC) 715/2007.



Audible driving performance: TECHART exhaust systems

The new powerkit can be installed in conjunction with the standard exhaust system. For those who appreciate a spectacular soundscape in addition to breathtaking acceleration, TECHART offers the pefect match with its new sports exhaust system.


 And in order to underline the performance visibly even at standstill, TECHART sport tailpipes with carbon fiber tubes set the TECHART-refined Cayenne Turbo apart from the series model.



End-of-year highlight: 700 hp kit debuts in the new TECHART Magnum


The new engine enhancement is also a key option in the new TECHART Magnum, the flagship of the TECHART exterior refinement programs for the Cayenne. All Cayenne Turbo customers who opt for the new TECHART Magnum body styling can also order the new powerkit.
