Automobile Manufacturers with Full Speed at the Essen Motor Show 23.11.2016: This year, several innovations and premieres from well-known automobile manufacturers

This year, several innovations and premieres from well-known automobile manufacturers will await the visitors to the Essen Motor Show: From November 26 to December 4 (November 25: Preview Day), performance vehicles from Abarth, BMW, Ford, Peugeot, Porsche Motorsport, Renault Sport Deutschland and Skoda will sparkle in the spotlight of the performance festival.



The new Ford Kuga which will give its eagerly awaited German premiere at Messe Essen should cause a sensation. The other highlights on the Ford booth will include not only the racy ST Line models but also, amongst others, the Ford Fiesta ST200, Ford Focus RS, Mustang and Edge Sport models.




In addition, the current racing version of the Ford GT as well as the legendary Ford Capri RS 2600 which will both be live in situ, too, will guarantee an increased pulse rate. On the other hand, the new Kodiaq will be the centre of attention on the Skoda booth.



With the offroad saloon, a new era is beginning for Skoda because this is indeed the first big SUV manufactured by the carmaker from the Czech Republic.



At the Essen Motor Show, Skoda will present special models from each of the Superb, Citigo, Rapid, Fabia and Yeti model series.



Moreover, the Fabia R5, the winning vehicle in the German Rally Championship in 2016, will await racing fans on the booth of the General German Automobile Club (ADAC). A rally simulator will round off Skoda's performance appearance at the Essen Motor Show.







Abarth with Three Performance Speedsters in Essen



The Italian automobile manufacturer Abarth will show the new 595 Competizione in Essen: The Italians have adapted the look to the revised Fiat 500.



For example, the Abarth version also has been provided with new headlamps, daytime running lights and LED tail lights. Moreover, with the new 124 Spider, Abarth will present a performance two-seater which is based on the Fiat 124 Spider.



 The trio will be completed by the 695 Biposto: The racing version of the Abarth 695 Assetto Corse is based on the Fiat 500 and is licensed for road traffic. The name affix Biposto points out the reduction to two seats.


At the Essen Motor Show, BMW will arouse the enthusiasm of its fans with the current product portfolio of M Performance Parts. The highlights will include new parts for the BMW M4 such as a carbon rear wing and a height-adjustable chassis.



Moreover, the Munich-based company will, for the first time, show new products for the M240i and 440i engines: for the 240i, a newly developed end silencer and, for the 440i, a power & sound kit.



Visitors will be able to try themselves out as racing drivers in the BMW DTM M4 driving simulator. At the Essen Motor Show, the BMW subsidiary MINI will also present the current portfolio of accessories by John Cooper Works.





Peugeot Sets Main Focal Points on Performance



On its booth in Hall 3, Peugeot will set several main focal points which will all relate to performance vehicles: For example, the French company will show the new compact SUV 3008 in its performance variant GT.



Furthermore, it will be possible to see the current GTi models such as the 208 GTi and the 308 GTi.



The current rally vehicle 208 T16 RS with which Christian Riedemann and his Belgian co-driver Lara Vanneste secured the runner-up title in the German Rally Masters will await the fans, too.



For comparison purposes, Peugeot will present the 205 Turbo 16 in which Michel Mouton won the German Rally Championship precisely 30 years ago.
