La nouvelle Prius hybride rechargeable combine toutes les caractéristiques de la nouvelle Prius de quatrième génération, full hybrid, basée sur la plateforme de la nouvelle architecture globale de Toyota (TNGA), à une autonomie en mode 100 % électrique de référence dans sa catégorie, en étrennant plusieurs nouvelles technologies très innovantes.
Toyota a été le premier constructeur au monde à proposer la technologie PHV (véhicule hybride rechargeable).
Aujourd’hui, avec le lancement de la deuxième génération de la Prius hybride rechargeable, Toyota franchit un nouveau pas vers la réalisation de son objectif, à savoir réduire les émissions de CO2 de tous ses véhicules de 90 %* d’ici 2050 à l’aide des technologies HV (véhicule hybride), PHV, EV (véhicule électrique) et FCV (véhicule à pile à combustible).
Répondant résolument aux réactions et commentaires des clients de la première génération de Prius hybride rechargeable, la nouvelle Toyota PHV constitue non seulement une formidable évolution de la Prius de dernière génération, mais aussi un véhicule inédit.
Elle est dotée de nombreuses avancées technologiques sophistiquées, en ce compris deux premières chez Toyota, à savoir un système de chauffage de la batterie et un double système d’entraînement moteur/générateur, et deux premières mondiales, à savoir un nouveau système de recharge solaire sur le toit qui accroît l’autonomie en mode EV et un système de climatisation à pompe à chaleur avec injection de gaz.
Forte d’une autonomie en mode EV qui a plus que doublée, pour atteindre plus de 50 km, et d’une vitesse maximale en mode EV qui passe de 85 à 135 km/h, la nouvelle Prius hybride rechargeable constitue un énorme bond en avant en termes d’efficacité, de performances, d’innovation et d’esthétique, tout en restant fidèle à l’objectif de Toyota qui consiste à créer la voiture écologique idéale.
