Das gesamte Spektrum der Automobilsicherheit steht seit 2003 im Mittelpunkt der jährlichen SafetyWeek. Während zunächst Anforderungen und Technologien der passiven Sicherheit den Schwerpunkt bildeten, stehen in diesem Jahr Methoden und Technologien zur Unfallvermeidung und zum autonomen Fahren im Fokus.




Experten aus Asien, Europa und Nordamerika diskutieren vom 15. bis zum 18. Mai 2018 in Würzburg aktuelle Trends, Innovationen und zukünftige Herausforderungen der Fahrzeugsicherheit. Hierzu gehören auch neue Themen wie Digitale Sicherheit und die Rolle der Fahrzeugbeleuchtung zur Erhöhung der Sicherheit.



Das Würzburger Vogel Convention Center bietet 2018 erstmals den neuen, vergrößerten Rahmen für die SafetyWeek und die begleitende Fachausstellung mit führenden Technologieanbietern.



Die SafetyWeek glänzt wieder mit hochkarätigen Referenten: Etwa Prof. Dr. Claes Tingvall aus Schweden, der als Vater der "Vision Zero" die Grundlagen für eine nachhaltige Erhöhung der Verkehrssicherheit gelegt hat. Direktor und Prof. Andre Seeck von der Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen referiert über die schnell wachsenden Anforderungen der weltweiten NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme). Zudem zeigt Matthew L. Brumbelow vom amerikanischen Forschungsinstitut der Versicherer IIHS, wie neue Bewertungsverfahren zur Erhöhung der Sicherheit beitragen.



Im Rahmen des Fachkongresses SafetyUpDate werden die Sicherheitstechnologien aktueller Fahrzeuge wie u.a. VW T-Roc und Streetscooter an den Fahrzeugen vorgestellt.



Die von der carhs.training GmbH durchgeführte Veranstaltung wird 2018 erstmals in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fachmedienunternehmen Vogel Business Media und dessen Medienmarke "Automobil Industrie" in Würzburg durchgeführt.



 "Durch die Kooperation mit dem Team der Automobil Industrie wird es möglich hochrelevante neue Themen aufzugreifen, die die Fahrzeugsicherheit für autonome Fahrzeuge der Zukunft bestimmen werden", erläutert Rainer Hoffmann, Geschäftsführer der carhs.training GmbH aus Alzenau.
