From 4 to 9 February, Lamborghini Polo Storico is in Paris for the Rétromobile classic car show, displaying an example of the rarest Miura: the SVJ. 4860 is the chassis number of the car in question, which was one of just four original SVJs made by the company.




The SVJs are exceptional vehicles that were inspired by the Miura Jota and built by special request. The Jota was a one-off that test driver Bob Wallace created with the goal of enabling the Miura to compete in races regulated by the FIA’s “Appendix J” for Touring Cars and GT Cars.



The SVJ on display in Paris was built in 1973 for the German racing driver Hubert Hahne, who was the Lamborghini importer for Germany at the time. It was painted black, with a white-black leather interior. In 1977 Hubert Hahne had the SVJ repainted silver by Lamborghini but kept the black interior. It has sported the same color combination ever since. The vehicle remained in Germany until the early 2000s, when it became part of a Japanese collection. It has not been exhibited in public since then.



Lamborghini Polo Storico carried out a restoration for conservation purposes. It began with in-depth analysis of documents held in the archives and a search for sources and accounts from the period when it was built, so that its original conditions could be peerlessly preserved and restored.



On display alongside the Miura SVJ at Rétromobile, will be a Miura P400 S built from spare parts – including bodywork, engine and suspension. Lamborghini Polo Storico has taken especially great care over the reconstruction of the bodywork panels in order to ensure that the original shape is accurately recreated, with exactly the same dimensions.



 This is all part of the “Certified Lines” concept that will be showcased at the event. New genuine spare parts such as cylinder heads and bodywork are constantly being released by Lamborghini, providing ever great scope for the authenticity of classic Lamborghinis to be preserved while also allowing collectors to use their cars with complete peace of mind.



From 10 to 13 September 2020, Polo Storico is organizing a tour for all classic Lamborghinis. It will start in Bruneck and offer participants the chance to drive their cars along a route spanning approximately 350 km in the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, through the most stunning mountain passes in the Dolomites. During the event, there will also be celebrations for the 50th anniversaries of the Jarama and Urraco, and the 30th anniversary of the Diablo.



Opened in 2015, Lamborghini Polo Storico is an Automobili Lamborghini department dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Sant’Agata Bolognese company. As well as restoring and certifying all Lamborghinis built up to 2001, it reconstructs spare parts for classic Lamborghini models.




More than 200 new catalogue items were added to the range in 2019 alone. Lamborghini Polo Storico also conserves and manages the company archives, with the aim of supporting the preservation of all classic Lamborghini cars.
