Two of the UK’s leading mobility companies agree partnership to transform the sharing economy

    YourParkingSpace.co.uk and hiyacar announce ground-breaking partnership


    New agreement highlights the money-making opportunity available to savvy driveway owners and vehicle owners


    Both companies are at the forefront of the sharing economy, specifically the exchange of services and goods between two people




Two of the UK’s leading mobility companies at the forefront of the sharing economy – YourParkingSpace.co.uk and hiyacar – have announced a ground-breaking new partnership.



YourParkingSpace.co.uk is the UK’s fastest growing parking technology provider, listing thousands of empty driveways and parking spaces that can be pre-booked.



hiyacar is the UK’s longest trading peer to peer car sharing platform and allows car owners to make money by renting their vehicles to a vetted community of drivers, currently with more than 120,000 members.



The agreement will further grow both businesses by improving customer offerings as it will allow YourParkingSpace.co.uk customers to monetise their vehicle, when it is not being used, through hiyacar.



Equally, hiyacar customers will be directed to YourParkingSpace.co.uk if they require parking during the course of their car rental, enabling them to save money on parking.



As well as cost saving, the partnership also highlights the money-making opportunity that is available in the sharing economy, namely the exchange of services and goods between two people, and which has previously been estimated as being worth £8 billion in Great Britain.



For instance, YourParkingSpace.co.uk customers made £21 million in 2020 by renting out their vacant driveways to motorists needing somewhere to park.

Meanwhile, hiyacar customers who listed their cars on the website could often make an average of £400 per month with some owners earning in excess of £800 a month in high demand areas.
