Available to a global audience of bidders through August 1, the stunning 918 Spyder hits the Collecting Cars online auction platform with less than 5,000 miles on its odometer.
This 918 Spyder is equipped with the sought-after Weissach Package - an $84,000 factory option for US buyers - which includes magnesium wheels and an extended carbon-fiber rear diffuser, plus a carbon-fiber windscreen frame, rear wings, and rear-view mirrors. Various interior parts were also trimmed in Alcantara.
Its $63,000 Liquid Metal exterior boasts a nine-coat finish that incorporates three manual processing stages and three final clear coats for optimal light reflection and depth. This pairs with an Onyx Black interior with silver piping.
The hypercar is powered by a race-derived 4.6L naturally aspirated V8, coupled with an electric motor for each axle, producing a combined total 887hp and 944lb-ft of torque. The hypercar’s engine and rear motor are driven through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission with paddle shift, while the front motor drives the front axle directly using an electric clutch coupling, giving the car all-wheel drive performance capability.
Its powertrain delivers 0-to-62 mph performance in just 2.6 seconds and 0-124 mph in 7.2 seconds, with a top speed of 214 mph. Independent tests by media registered even quicker results, with one outlet recording a 0-60 mph time of just 2.2 seconds. Five driving modes include E-Drive, using the front and rear electric motors alone to give a pure ‘zero emission’ driving range of up to 12 miles, gauged by the EPA’s five-cycle test.
