Automobili Lamborghini and CULTI MILANO have selected Francesco Poroli to design the second edition of a home fragrance created especially for Automobili Lamborghini.



The new diffuser fragrance celebrates art, design and craftsmanship: a focus of the partnership between CULTI MILANO and Automobili Lamborghini. Launched in summer 2021, it was the first joint branding project of this kind for CULTI MILANO. The company's unmistakable vibrancy and verve shine through in the fragrance: citrus top notes of grapefruit and bitter orange make way for fresh vetiver and bergamot, before sandal and cedarwood round off the enveloping scent.



The Special Edition created by the illustrator Francesco Poroli tells a modern, sophisticated story, representing the internationalism and Italian heritage of both brands, with a passionate and unconventional approach to creating an exceptionally packaged fragrance.



Poroli’s handiwork adorns the bottle and packaging of the 1000 ml Decor home fragrance. It features an array of bold, sharp lines inspired by sports car designs. They fan out from the symbol of the fragrance: a wheel/flower that brings together the logos of the two companies.

 

The daring combinations of bold colors seen on the bodywork of the cars shroud the square surfaces of the bottle and the box, making this Art Edition a real collector’s item. The illustrations on the diffuser are produced with water-based inkjet printers using innovative, sustainable techniques.

 

They have a low environmental impact, just like the packaging, which is made from recycled paper.


“This project represents painstaking, dedicated attention to detail: it was like working on a Lamborghini sports car, in which every single feature and detail has a purpose and meaning.

 

They are brought together with engineering skills in a perfect pairing, to make dreams come true. An identical approach is taken in the CULTI MILANO world, whose prestige stems from the groundbreaking way it filled spaces with scents and introduced ambience culture into our lifestyles,” states Francesco Poroli.

About FRANCESCO POROLI:


Francesco Poroli was born and lives in Milan, where he has worked as a freelance art director and illustrator since 2000. Over the years, his work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Wired, GQ and Il Sole 24 Ore. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including Facebook, Campari, Apple, the NBA, and Barilla. In 2017 his book “Like Kobe - Il Mamba spiegato ai miei figli” (“Like Kobe - Explaining the Black Mamba to my children”) was published by Baldini&Castoldi.



 His work has won accolades from the Society of Illustrators in New York and The Society of Publication Designers. He is the art director of Illustri Festival, a TEDx speaker and a teacher at Scuola Holden, IED Milan and Domus Academy.
