• Basic price of the Octavia Facelift – CZK 349,900
• The Octavia Facelift offers high safety and comfort
• Prices of the Fabia, Roomster and Superb model lines have been reduced dramatically
The Octavia, Škoda Auto's best selling model, has gone through a massive modernisation in the middle of its life cycle. The launch of the facelifted vehicle in the Czech market is scheduled for the second half of November 2008.
The basic price of the Octavia with the 1.4 MPI/59 kW engine, a five-speed manual transmission and the Classic equipment level is CZK 349,900. Along with this attractive price, the Octavia Facelift offers exceptional safety. The price of the basic equipment level includes ESP with ABS, six airbags, projector halogen headlamps, central locking, power-controlled front windows and heated wing mirrors, a daytime lighting system, and more.
The Octavia Facelift comes with four petrol and three diesel engines (from 59 to 118 kW), including a four-wheel-drive Combi (estate). On top of that, a portfolio of CZK 10,000 special-offer packages will be launched along with the Octavia Facelift, including e.g., air conditioning worth CZK 35,000.

As a response to growing competition and the deepening economic recession, Škoda Auto has also reduced the prices of its new vehicles in the remaining Fabia, Roomster and Superb lines. The price reductions for selected models and equipment levels reach as much CZK 100,000.
For example, the price of the new Fabia with the economical 1.2 HTP/ 44 kW engine, a five-speed manual transmission and the Classic equipment level is now CZK 229,900. The basic equipment level in all Fabia models includes e.g., 4 airbags, ABS with a brake booster, immobiliser and power steering.
As part of the CZK 10,000 special-offer package, Škoda offers central locking and the Climatic air conditioning. Including the reduced price of the Fabia model, the total benefit reaches as much as CZK 50,000.
The prices of the Roomster 1.2 HTP/ 51 kW with a five-speed manual transmission and the Classic equipment level start at CZK 299,900. The basic equipment level in the Roomster includes 4 airbag, ABS with a brake booster, power steering, daytime lighting system, immobiliser, height-adjustable driver's seat, and more.
When buying the CZK 10,000 special-offer package, the customer will now also get air conditioning, electrically-controlled front windows and central locking, getting a customer benefit of as much as CZK 60,000.
The price reduction also involves the second-generation Superb. The prices of the Superb 1.4 TSI/ 92 kW with a six-speed manual transmission and the Comfort equipment level start at 569,900, i.e., CZK 50,000 less as compared to the initial price. The price reduction for the Superb with the diesel engine 2.0 TDI CR totals CZK 100,000.
The updated Škoda vehicle price list is available at authorised Škoda Auto dealers in the Czech Republic from 23 October, 2008.
