Die Touringcartrophy geht ab 2006 neue Wege und trennt sich vom Partner Pirelli Schweiz .Somit ist Sie auch nicht mit einer oder deren allfälligen Pirelli Tourenwagen Meisterschaften in der Schweiz oder EU in Verbindung zu bringen oder beteiligt. Die von uns konzeptierte Touringcartrophy und Touringcarchallenge in Europa und Australien besitzt das alleinige Copyright .
IDEE
Die Touringcartrophy wurde im 2003 in einer Arbeitsgruppe geschaffen als Plattform für Tourenwagenrennen in folgenden Kategorien und Fahrzeugbesitzer von:
SUPERTOURENWAGEN FIA
BTCC Fahrzeuge
DTM Fahrzeuge
ETCC Fahrzeuge
WTCC Fahrzeuge
GRUPPE A Fahrzeuge bis 2500 ccm
Diverse Tourenwagen
Neu werden von der Organisation bis auf ein Internationales Rennfinale im Oktober 2006 in Magny Cours (F) (wie früher Weltfinale ) keine Rennen mehr Organisiert. Geplant sind jedoch 2006 drei Clubveranstaltungen für Gentlemandriver und Fahrzeugbesitzer von Tourenwagen wie folgt :
« WARM-UP » Testtag im März/April Adria, Hockenheim, Monza, Le Castellet (wird im Januar fixiert)
« SUMMERTESTDAY » in Ledenon(F) oder Dijon (F)im Juni
« INTERNATIONAL FINARACE » im Oktober in Magny-Cours (F)
In Zukunft wird die Touringcartrophy, die Weltweit bekannt wurde in den letzten 2 Jahren als Meisterschaft für Tourenwagen, für Private und Gentlemandriver, mit einer privaten Organisation folgende Tätigkeiten ausüben :

Andy Priaulx claimed the FIA WTCC. Dirk Müller, who was the only other driver in a position to become champion, crashed into the Lisboa bend on lap three of the second race and did not finish. Giovanardi did not start the race due to the damage obtained in Race 1.

Local man André Couto had his best practice session so far and looked as though he had set the best time until Andy Priaulx bettered it on his last lap. Last week in Rome, the FIA World Motor Sport Council has approved the provisional calendar for the 2006 FIA World Touring Car Championship.
