Leading Lebanese fashion designer reveals show-stopping collection at bridal exhibition

Dazzling designer Dominique Fayad revealed her show-stopping collection, entitled ‘Glamour Spirit’ today at The Bride Show Dubai.

With her vision of Oriental and European charm, nobleness and uniqueness, the collection consisted of more than thirty elegant evening gowns with gorgeous accents of bags and accessories which complemented the designs. Silk had a huge presence in the collection with taffetas and muslins helping to create the flowing lines with a minimalist, fresh approach.

A self-confessed perfectionist, Dominique supervised every step of the collection’s creation from sketching to personal fittings. She dedicated more than 8 weeks to the execution of one dress, and shows a single collection per year, designed with ‘today’s woman’ in mind.

Having studied from some of the most prestigious fashion schools in the Middle East , the Lebanese School of Modelling and Design, she polished her skills through work experience with some of the most prestigious houses of Haute Couture.

After ten years of studying and honing her talent, Dominique launched her own signature line at Verdun, Beirut, taking advice from her husband and business partner, Hussni Ajlani.

When asked about the inspiration behind the collection shown today, Dominque said, "It is the women of different personalities and strengths from around the world who inspire me. All women carry a touch of glamour no matter where they come from - whether they are young, or a business woman or a celebrity! The collection ‘Glamour Spirit’ is an ecclesiastical hymn to women who are dreamers, well-rounded and sexy. It is these personal identities that I try and project in my creations."

With two days left of fashion shows unveiling both traditional and modern bridal looks as portrayed by a cluster of leading names, exclusive competitions and many of the over 300 exhibitors offering exclusive discounts, The Bride Show Dubai provides the perfect venue for all women who enjoy fashion and beauty.

In addition to the wedding element of the exhibition, Ambiente Al Bayt Al Arabie, the region’s only Arabian home interiors and accessories exhibition, is also running alongside The Bride Show Dubai.

Ambiente is a unique and chic shopping event for new and existing homeowners where visitors can find an exclusive selection of high-end furniture, home accessories and accents, independent interior designers and gift retailers as well as property services, art galleries and lighting specialists and garden and landscaping professionals.

The Bride Show Dubai and Ambiente Al Bayt Al Arabie are open daily from 2pm-9.30pm at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre until Friday, April 13th.
