Astana Pro Team is happy to announce the new partnership with a London-based company Food & Life, which will supply the team with organic high-quality Italian food and beverage.
The first common event of Astana Pro Team together with Food & Life has been organized in the first day of the 102nd Giro d’Italia in Bologna.
- It was nice to see our new partner Food & Life there at the start in Bologna next to our team. Besides a good attention, both, to the team and the company at the start of the individual time trial, we and our guests have got a unique opportunity to taste the dishes from a well-known Italian haute cuisine chef Andrea Zagatti. Well, we are looking forward to our collaboration throughout this season and, why not, during the next years, - said Alexandr Vinokurov, the general manager of Astana Pro Team.
Food & Life has designed a bus equipped with a professional kitchen where Italian haute cuisine chefs, as Andrea Zagatti did in Bologna, create dishes worthy of the best awarded restaurants. Bologna stage was not only about tasting: the preparation of the athletes for the individual time trial, activity usually reserved exclusively for professionals, has been revealed to a selected audience, allowing them to discover the “behind the scenes” of the preparation for the race.
- A partnership between Food & Life and Astana Pro Team has born. Food & Life is specialized in the research, selection and distribution of Italian food and beverage excellences mainly in the haute cuisine of the London metropolis. The partnership with Astana arises from the common desire to discover and spread the Italian food and drinks around the world, and thanks to the strength of a winning sport team like Astana it might be feasible.
An innovative format made possible thanks to Astana’s management foresight, with the goal of making cycling even more spectacular: Italian food and beverage excellence can only increase and boost emotion, passion and love for this splendid sport, - said Giancarlo Innocenti Botti, Food & Life PLC president.
