Distance: GRO 223.44 kilometers (138.816 miles) / MAG 18.62 kilometers (11.568 miles)
Best Lap Time: GRO 1:18.380 (12th overall) / MAG 1:19.709 (16th overall)
Fastest Lap: 1:15.732 by Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes
Most Laps: 152 laps by Antonio Giovinazzi of Alfa Romeo Racing

Friday at Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya saw Haas F1 Team split steering duties in the Haas VF-20 between Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen on the final day of the first week of pre-season testing.
Grosjean, having set 158 laps Thursday, successfully completed his morning program accumulating 48 laps around the 4.655 kilometer (2.892 mile), 16-turn circuit. The Frenchman, who ran through a variety of baseline set-ups, set a fastest time of 1:18.380 – placing him eighth overall on the timesheets from the 10 cars running before the lunch break.
Magnussen returned in the afternoon keen to build on the 106 laps recorded on Wednesday’s opening test day. A right rear puncture just four laps into his first run ended Magnussen’s session as the Dane was pitched into the barriers on the exit of Turn 7. An issue with the wheel spacer damaging the rim was ultimately found to be the cause of the sudden tire deflation. The team opted to get an early start on preparations for next week’s test rather than undertake a time-consuming repair on Magnussen’s VF-20.

Haas F1 Team’s total for the first week of testing was 316 laps and 1470.98 kilometers (913.872 miles) split between Grosjean (206) and Magnussen (110).
The final week of pre-season testing resumes on Wednesday, Feb. 26, with Grosjean back in the Haas VF-20. Magnussen will drive on Thursday, Feb. 27, with both drivers splitting the final day again on Friday, Feb. 28.
ROMAIN GROSJEAN

“It was a pretty good morning and a pretty good first week. We’ve done a lot of testing and we’ve seen the lap times drop from other people. We’ve kept working on what we wanted to, we’ve trialed as many options on the car as we could. Generally, it’s been very positive, everything we’ve tested has been good. We ran the whole program we had planned for the morning – I’m very happy with that.”
KEVIN MAGNUSSEN
“Overall, testing’s been positive for us this week. We’ve had two and a half days of good solid running with everything looking as to our expectations – I’m very happy about that. I’m looking forward to next week and getting into some more performance running and pushing the car a little bit harder. We’ll work on more set-up and so on as well. As I said though, I’m happy with this week.”

GUENTHER STEINER
“The first two days of testing were very good for us with no issues and a lot of data, we got a lot of things done. Today was a little bit more troublesome, these things can happen though. In the morning we had a small issue which kept us in the garage for half an hour. After that, testing went well with Romain (Grosjean). Then we had a damaged rim due to a problem with the wheel spacer, which ultimately caused the puncture for Kevin (Magnussen).
Unfortunately, the car was too damaged to make it worthwhile to try and get it back out. We could have possibly returned for half an hour but there’s no point. We decided to get properly prepared for next week because we change chassis. To sum it up, it’s not been a bad week, just this afternoon’s been the only bad part – the rest has been very good.”
