Conquest Racing and Conrad Indianapolis, the city’s first true luxury hotel, have formed a partnership that will see the #36 entry sport the Conrad Indianapolis’ logo during this year’s Indy 500.
“With the Indianapolis 500 being such a vital part of our community, we are so proud to be represented on the famed oval this Sunday. And we could not ask for a better team to represent the Conrad than Alex Tagliani and his Conquest Racing team,” said general manager, Greg Tinsley. “I am so honored to have the hotel paired with such a talented team as Conquest. The level of professionalism and inspiration that Tagliani and his team exude are reminiscent of the personality of our Conrad family.”
While the Conrad logo will be present at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the greatest spectacle in racing, a little bit of Conquest Racing is staying at the Conrad. The Indianapolis-based team’s King Tut show car is on display in the lobby of the downtown hotel during the race weekend.
“We’re very happy to have Conrad Indianapolis on board, it’s one of Indianapolis’ greatest hotels and it is only fitting that it be present at Indianapolis’ biggest race,” said Team Owner Eric Bachelart. “We’re also pleased to see that our partners are coming together creating great business to business opportunities.”
Conrad Indianapolis and Arts and Exhibitions International, also a partner of Conquest Racing, have teamed up to provide Conrad hotel guests front of the line access to the King Tut Exhibit which opens next month at the Children’s museum of Indianapolis. Conrad’s King Tut accommodation package will launch June 27 online at www.conradindianapolis.com, same day as the opening of the Exhibit.
The 2009 Indianapolis 500 takes place this Sunday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ABC starting at noon with a pre-race show.
