Mario on Qualifying: "We had a good first day. I think the car was fast right off the bat, so the boys certainly did their homework. I like the track here a lot, I’ve never raced here but always wanted to, and it is everything I expected.
It is a beautiful track and I think I learned it rather quickly, so we were able to get right to work and develop the car. Considering we didn’t test here like many of the other teams, I think we are doing quite well and we also have some good ideas for tomorrow, so I am looking forward to another good day."

David Martinez announced today that he has been chosen by the Forsythe/Pettit Team to replace David Garza temporarily in the #7 Axtel/Tecate/Madisa Atlantic Car. Garza suffered a dislocated hip injury during a training accident last weekend at his hometown of Monterrey.
