Conquest Racing Set to Test at Infineon Raceway

The Conquest Racing team will take advantage of a rare off-weekend on the IndyCar Series 2008 schedule to test at and familiarize themselves with Infineon Raceway tomorrow, ahead of next weekend’s PEAK Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County.
Looking to end the season on a high note starting with next weekend’s race, Conquest rookie drivers Jaime Camara and Enrique Bernoldi will be on track aboard their Dallara racing machines getting acquainted, or reacquainted in Camara’s case, with the 2.245-mile, 12-turn road course from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. pacific time Thursday, August 14.
"It will be nice to test at a track before heading there for the race next week," expressed Bernoldi who will be making his 14th IndyCar Series start of the season at Infineon Raceway. "All season we have been going to tracks that I had never seen prior to that race weekend so this test will definitely help us in getting ready for the race, I won’t have to learn the track on the first day of practice and we’ll be able to collect important data that will hopefully make us competitive right off the bat next week."
Camara, who has five Firestone Indy Lights starts at the Sonoma County race track, echoed his teammate’s sentiments and added: "This test will without a doubt give us extra momentum going into next week’s race. It always helps to get as much mileage as possible under your belt and having this extra time in the car is really good for me as I continue to gain experience aboard an indy car on a road course. I’m looking forward to it."
The PEAK Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County takes place August 22 – 24, 2008 and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 starting at 5:30 p.m. eastern time.
