Moving Forward: Dominguez and the PCM crew made great strides two weeks ago at Watkins Glen. In just their third IndyCar race, Dominguez qualified in the top-20 and finished 13th.
Pump promotion: Mario pumped Ethanol for race fans in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday. The fuel was significantly reduced in price for one-hour, hundreds of fans lined up for the promo, "It was a great way to meet race fans and spread the ethanol message," said Dominguez. "Hundreds of locals turned out for the promotion which was covered by the news. It’s a great way to promote the series and meet the fans away from the race track!"
Earlier this week: Mario flew to San Francisco Monday to promote the upcoming Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma 8/22 – 8/24 at Infineon Raceway. Mario is a native of Mexico City, but he has San Fran roots; Dominguez is a graduate of San Francisco’s Burlingame High School.
Road Racer: Dominguez scored 11 of his Champ Car podiums on road or street courses.

Mario’s Mexico City Travel Tip: "If you are a race fan, you must visit Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez. The racetrack is 2.747 miles and is right next to the Palacio de los deports (the Sports Palace). This is a terrific racetrack and a there is a nice park inside, so you can have a picnic in the park, walk the racetrack and then return to the park for your siesta! The track was built in 1962 and was named for the famous Rodriguez brothers.
The final turn, the "Peraltada" is one of the most famous corners in racing. It’s a very high-speed, banked corner which leads on to a long front straight, it is incredible. The Autodromo hosted its first Formula One race the year it was built. I remember coming and watching Senna and Prost have great battles there.
I’ve had the honor of racing there many times, but the most memorable for me, was when I finished third there in the Champ Car race in 2003 in front of 200,000 of my fellow countrymen. It was an incredible day and this racetrack is a very special place to me."

Mario Dominguez: "It’s great to return to Mid-Ohio. I haven’t raced here since 2003, but I’ve always loved this track. It is definitely one of my favorite road courses, and the Ohio race fans know their stuff! We learned a lot about the car at Watkins Glen.
The two tracks are similar, so we should be well prepared for a good run here. My guys have been working hard and I think we are in good shape. It is a big weekend for Honda and for Firestone here at Mid-Ohio so we’ll make sure we give them a great race."
