Despite a difficult Rally Zlín following two punctures on the same stage you’ve still got a strong lead in the IRC standings. How would you assess your performance on the event?

“A lot of the time I was happy with my performance. The team did a fantastic job, the ŠKODA Fabia S2000 was perfect and we scored what may prove to be some very important points.”




You’re no stranger to appearing on TV in the IRC but your role on theHvem kan slå Aamodt og Kjus? show (Who can beat Aamodt and Kjus?, two former alpine sports stars), on Norwegian TV was something a bit different. What was it like?


“It was really great fun. We had to do so many different tasks, which against the clock and in front of a live studio audience was not so easy.”



This week’s Prime Yalta Rally isn’t part of your IRC schedule this year but what advice would you offer those taking part?


“The stages are very slippery and are more or less the same as last year so there are some spectacular stages – especially Ai-Petri. That goes up a big hill and then you go straight into the next stage, Plato, which goes down the hill.


 These two stages are quite tricky for punctures, but if you stay out of trouble on these two stages I think you’ll have a good chance of scoring a very good result.”
