On a sunny weekend at COTA (Austin, TX) - the US F1GP track - Jason Workman started his defense of the World Racing League Endurance Race.

Driving the same car from Casey Carden Motorsports, with Erick Melton and Rob Pellosie. The track was very bumpy this year as the whole terrain has dropped by several feet! Those fans who watched the F1 GP this November could notice how bumpy it really got.

The grueling 8 hour main race started last Saturday at 9:15am and finished at 5:15pm. Jason started on pole in his class (GP3) in his trusted Mazda MX5 # 213 prepared to perfection by Charles Carden, the father of Casey , the team owner. Charles is a qualified Lamborghini technician and one can see that in the perfect preparation of # 213 and sister car # 214.

Jason and his teammate decided to manage their pace as it is a long race on a technical demanding track for both car and driver. They were clocking very steady fast laps without pushing it all too hard. The very quick driver line up in #214 was leading comfortably when CCM had to retire the car half way through with a broken transmission.

The #213, however, stayed always in direct contact with the other class competitors without forcing the issue. When their other main competitors run in different troubles during the last two hours as they were forcing their cars hard over the high curbs and bumps trying to out pace #213, Jason and his two teammates quickly cruised to a very well-deserved victory!

Well we all know that to finish first you must first finish .

The Sunday 8 hour race counting towards the 2019 Championship final points started at 8am to finish at 4pm.  Again team #214 was the quickest car and this time the car last. The #214 team won that race two laps ahead of sister car #213.

A One/Two finish for the season ending race for Team Casey Carden Motorsports! Well done guys!
