Le 3 octobre 2012 a eu lieu la présentation officielle de la « Fondation Enovos » en présence de, entre autres, Tonika Hirdman (Directrice Générale de la Fondation de Luxembourg), Jean Lucius (CEO Enovos Luxembourg), Dr Paul Schosseler (Directeur du Centre de Ressources des Technologies pour l'Environnement, CRP Henri Tudor) et Dr Marc Lemmer (CEO CRP Henri Tudor).
La Fondation Enovos a été créée par Enovos Luxembourg S.A. et est placée sous l’égide de la Fondation de Luxembourg, fondation d’utilité publique.
L’Environnement, le Social et la Recherche sont ses trois grands champs d’action :
1.La fondation a pour mission de mettre en valeur et de développer des sources d’énergie renouvelables au Luxembourg et dans la Grande Région. Via le fonds nova naturstroum, elle soutient les projets à caractère novateur, promoteur ou didactique dans le domaine des énergies renouvelables.
2. Elle endosse également une responsabilité sociale et soutient entre autres des projets bénéficiant aux :
- enfants atteints d’un cancer (Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner)
- jeunes à troubles comportementaux (Liewenshaff - Centre propédeutique professionnel - Päerd’s Atelier a.s.b.l.)
- sportifs présentant une déficience mentale (Special Olympics Luxembourg)
3. Soucieuse d’un futur dynamique et durable, la fondation cherche à contribuer de manière active à la recherche en soutenant des projets scientifiques dans le secteur de l’énergie en général et des énergies renouvelables en particulier.
Ainsi, la Fondation Enovos vient d’accorder son soutien à son premier projet de recherche du CRP Henri Tudor pour le développement de prévisions régionales précises sur les performances photovoltaïques. Avoir des prévisions exactes sur la production photovoltaïque est nécessaire à la stabilité du réseau et pour un futur approvisionnement intelligent en énergie. Dans le cadre de ce projet, présenté par Dr Paul Schosseler, un modèle basé sur les données régionales d’ensoleillement est développé pour calculer ces performances.
Une autre façon de contribuer à un futur dynamique est la valorisation des études et carrières professionnelles de l’ingénieur: la Fondation Enovos, ensemble avec l’ALI et l’ANEIL, récompensera le 3 novembre 2012 les meilleurs travaux de Master d‘étudiants ingénieurs.
Composé de six personnes, un comité de gestion autonome évalue les différents projets et statue sur la répartition des moyens financiers. Toutes les activités décidées par le comité de gestion sont exécutées par la Fondation de Luxembourg au nom de la fondation abritée Fondation Enovos.
La Fondation de Luxembourg supervise la bonne utilisation des fonds alloués aux différents projets. Enovos Luxembourg supporte intégralement les coûts occasionnés par le fonctionnement de la fondation.
La Fondation Enovos reflète le leitmotiv de l’entreprise d’agir de façon responsable envers les générations présentes et futures, et ceci bien au-delà de son métier de base de fournisseur d’énergie.
