VET Middle East exhibition highlights latest veterinary products and medical technologies from global suppliers

The countdown has begun for the Middle East’s largest, most popular veterinary trade event in Dubai, where more than 60 international and local veterinary suppliers and manufacturers will assemble to showcase their latest products and technologies.
Taking place from 26-28 March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, VET Middle East provides a dedicated platform for regional and global players to communicate and develop trade relations with veterinary professionals throughout the region.
International exhibitors from the USA, Canada, China, UK and India will take part with their newest innovations in an effort to entice distributors and importers, government veterinary institutions, ministries and municipality departments and private veterinary clinics and hospitals.
Richard Pavitt, Exhibition Director of VET Middle East, said: “The 2013 edition of VET Middle East is the largest so far with a diverse exhibitor line-up featuring leading names from the domestic and international veterinary industry such as Veterinary Research Center, Gulf Drug, Andover and Vetessa.”
“The importance of the three-day show is highlighted by the remarkable year-on-year exhibitor growth we witness every year, which goes hand in hand with a boost in the quality and number of visitors each year.”
Among the headline exhibitors at VET Middle East include Scottish manufacturer of ultrasound products, BCF Technology, which will showcase Easi-Scan, a bovine ultrasound scanner used to detect fast and accurate reproductive diagnosis in large farm animals including horses and cattle.
The light and portable ultrasound scanner provides optimum precision in reproductive diagnosis, making it easier to determine the best time for insemination, early or late pregnancy and gender.
“Easi-Scan offers a new concept of scanning and this product has been designed keeping in mind the tough conditions in which a bovine practitioner works,” said Sarah Shone, International Business Development Manager for BCF Technology.
“Since most of our products are designed for on-farm use, VET Middle East is the ideal platform to showcase our products to farmers and vets in the Middle East and also get a better understanding of the Middle East veterinary market.”
Now in its fifth edition, VET Middle East is partnered with AGRA Middle East, the region’s largest agribusiness trade event showcasing the latest technologies in agriculture and horticulture, animal husbandry, poultry farming, fisheries and agricultural machinery.
AGRA Middle East will feature three dedicated industry conferences examining the paramount issues of regional food security and water resources – the Agribusiness Outlook Forum, the Poultry Outlook Forum, and the inaugural Middle East Horticultural Summit.
The event will also mark the launch of the first AGRAme Awards, recognising individuals, departments, teams and organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of the agricultural industry with focus on best practices and innovative approach.
Held under the patronage of His Excellency Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, VET Middle East and AGRA Middle East attracted more than 4,600 visitors in 2012, representing a 34 per cent increase on the previous year.
Visitors can pre-register at www.vetmiddleeast.com and enter a lucky draw to win an iPhone 5 at VET Middle East.
