Mohammed Ben Sulayem recognised for role in global success of video game

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who won a record 14 Middle East Championship titles in his rallying career, has been recognised for his part in the global success of a leading off road video game.
Sulayem, President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE, became the first Arab racing celebrity to debut in a racing video game as one of the key motorsport athletes featured in Colin McRae: DiRT 2, and the later version, DiRT 3.
He was presented with a special 20th anniversary version of PlayStation by Robert Fisser, General Manager, Sony Computer Entertainment, MENA.
“We chose Dr. Ben Sulayem because he is the Arab world’s leading motor sport figure. It is of a great honour to associate PlayStation with such a someone who is recognized locally and globally", said Robert Fisser, General Manager, SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment) MENA.
The DiRT games feature a roster of contemporary off-road events, taking players to diverse and challenging real-world environments. The games takes place across four continents: Asia, Europe, Africa and North America and include five different event types: Rally, Rallycross, Trailblazer, Land Rush and Raid
