• Tournaments taking place throughout UAE
The India-UAE Friendship Cup is bringing together a host of Emirati and expatriate Indian golfers living in the Emirates through a spirited golfing competition.
Taking place throughout the UAE, the Friendship Cup has received driving support from Al Nabooda Automobiles, the exclusive distributor for Volkswagen in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, for the Dubai leg, taking place on Saturday 14 March on the Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club.
Introduced in 2014, the India-UAE Friendship Cup fosters cultural interaction between the UAE’s sizeable Indian community and the growing number of Emiratis who have a passion for golf.
Supported by the Consulate General of India, this year’s tournament series is set to be another hole in one victory tournament as it travels around the UAE’s finest golf clubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
Thierry Seys, Volkswagen General Manager at Al Nabooda Automobiles, said: “This friendly, yet spirited tournament acts as a fantastic catalyst to bring two large UAE communities together to enjoy a round of golf.
“With a number of our customers playing in the tournament this year, our support of the event gives us a great opportunity to engage with the local community in a fun, relaxed environment, while fostering the development of new friendships and networks.
“I wish all the golfers taking part every success as they tackle the challenging Faldo course at Emirates Golf Club and look forward to celebrating with them at the end of their 18 holes.”
