For Brodie Chapman, a transfer to Trek-Segafredo has been a “dream for some time.”
 


“Ever since its inception I’ve admired their collective strength and how they fully commit to their winning riders,” Chapman explained. “Their combined tactics and strength in the peloton are a force to be reckoned with and it’s something I’ve dreamed about being a part of. When Ina (Teutenberg, director) got in contact with me, I had butterflies in my stomach, and that doesn’t happen that often these days. I’m really excited about this opportunity.”
 


“I think Trek has raised the level of professional women’s cycling,” continued Chapman. “I’m mostly excited to learn from the other experienced riders and staff at the team. We’ve got a good balance of new talent and a lot of experience.


Personally, I hope that I can contribute, and I really hope to learn a lot and develop as a rider with the help of the Team. I definitely see the Women’s WorldTour calendar growing as well so it’s important to have a spread of talent and I think Trek-Segafredo have built a really good team around that for the next few years; I absolutely can’t wait!”
 


Chapman will be putting her previous experience with Trek bikes to a new use over the next two years.
 


“I’m very familiar with the equipment as I worked for a Trek bike shop for a few years, and I learnt about how innovative and awesome the Trek equipment is. I’m looking forward to getting back on a Trek bike and seeing what we can do.”
 


Ina Teutenberg, Team Director, believes Brodie Chapman is a well-rounded rider who will be an important support rider for the Team’s leaders.
 


“Brodie is strong rider in all terrains, and she will be a valuable asset to help the team win races,” explained Teutenberg.
 


“We also know that when given the opportunity, Brodie is able to challenge for victories herself and so she will also be able to take her own chances when they come,” Teutenberg added.
